No, I wouldn't say you are missing something, I'd say JD is.

No, you can't buy the fittings from JD. All you can buy is the complete hydraulic lines, and since those are a rare replacement item, they are quite spendy. It works out to be about $40 per fitting if you buy a new line (even the shortest one) just for the fittings. Before I will pay that, I will probably fabricate them.

Perhaps I wasn't clear that all I am interested in is the fittings because I want to make up new hard lines for some new hydraulics I'm adding to my 790.

This sounds exactly like the problem I've been having lately with my BX. When I start the tractor, the loader works fine ( I have to raise it to get out of the barn). After plowing snow for an hour or so if I try to raise the FEL... nothing, maybe a little 'jerk'. Won't go down either, unless it's in 'float'. If I put it in and out of float a few times, it starts working again. The bucket control (curl) works every time. I've only had this problem in cold weather, but haven't used the tractor above freezing since I first experienced this back in January. I asked the service manager when I was in getting oil and filters the other day, and he had nothing to offer. It's got me stumped. I'll be anxious to see if it goes away in warm weather.

First time I went in for sigmoid, Dr found a polup right away and said he would be back, He went to a fellow Dr and got me in for colonoscopy right away, no use waisting that cleanliness.. got up, walked in, laid down, gotter done and got up and went out to lunch, no problem with not having medication, some hard pressure but not bad, 5 polups, none bad.. Went again last year,10 yrs later, drank an 8 oz. bottle of sodium stuff that worked fast. I went in and told the Dr. I wanted to do it without meds. and he said ok, if it didn't work they would just put on the mask and put me to sleep. 15 or 20 minutes later I was done and on my way, clean as a whistle.. Both times were in the morning, and later in the day, both times , I was real tired and took a nap.. unpleasant but not unbearable without being put to sleep and you don't have to wait around to wake up. my 2 cents...JohnJ

Depending on the type of stuff growing in the water, something as simple as a bale of rye wheat straw will fix it. Bear in mind, it is not a light switch, it takes time to work.

Do a Google search on 'pond water cleaning' or just 'pond water' and see all the info that comes up.

Also, depending on the type and amount of algae you have, and the conditions of your pond, sometimes the solution is as simple as buying some fish or domestic waterfowl (ducks or swans) that will dine on the plant growth quite happily. The colourful large gold fish known as Koi are able to over-winter in the pond as long as a portion of it is more than 6' deep.

If you have too much decomposed plant material in there it may need to be cleaned out first.

I have the B7800 which has the same drive-train as your tractor. I have a definite "howl" if I try any heavy work in high range. This is the third Hydrostat I've had, and they all howl if you try to work them too hard in high range. There is a howl in mid-range, but not nearly as loud. All of the hydros I've had "howled". It's a nature of the beast thing.

As Art mentioned, don't do any hard work in high range. It is meant to be used only to travel from one point to another without load. I always use Super UDT.

I would definitely get the extra remote's while purchasing the tractor when new. These are good tractor's and should be able to do a lot of work with one. With the two tractor's you will have they would interchange much of the machines attachments and give you an extra tractor if needed. The only benifit would be the additional horsepower for PTO operations as a 3130 four wheel drive would pull in hard going about the same. If keeping the 3130 you might just want to have front weights on the M and use it for the bush-hogging chores and three point duty.

I believe the AGCO ST series is basically the same as the Massey Ferguson compact line. The Challenger line sold through Caterpillar dealerships is another variation. These tractors are built by Iseki in Japan.

Brokenarrow: I ordered the factory hand controls yesterday for $420--instead of $1700 for parts alone over the counter. I'm still a little fuzzy on the numbers--"numb" is probably a better word. I think the basic machine dealer-discounted was somewhere around $28,700 and mine will be around $38,000. I did find Tarheel Equipment in the Carolinas on e-bay who had a basic one for $25,800, but they would only go $16,000 trade-in, wanted another $650 for transportation to Michigan (which is a fair price). My dealer gave me about $3000 more for trade in but not as good a discount. Plus Tarheel's District Rep was different than mine so they wouldn't have been able to work out a deal. Then there's the biggie ---SERVICE---. The Sevice Mgr. is pretty cool. He said they work on other dealers equipment all the time. But just like car dealers, just a fact of life you go to the back of the line for service if one of their (loyal?) customers brings one in. It can take a week or two for service as it is--so I can't imagine waiting longer. And the District REp is human (imagine that!) so future problems are more lioikey to not be rsolved to my benefit. Time is money. And the other thing is the dealer is and has let me use a rental for as much as a month while mine was being worked on. I bought my TC33D from them and got A-plan, so I can't b___ too much. It's a two-way street, but sometimes it feels like a Toll Road---only they own the road. Brief update:

Stealing what time I could from other responsibilities, with the unseasonably warm dry weather we've had in Portland lately, I managed to get all 42 disks cut out in the last couple weeks. Since the plate these were cut from had lots of plates and brackets welded to the surface, which required gouging out welds to remove, it left many of the disks with significant surface grinding to clean them up so they will lay flat. After chipping the slag off, and grinding the surface welds, and grinding some rough edges, sanding off a few rust spots and some loose paint, I've now gotten over two thirds fully cleaned up and primed with rust preventive. Just another ten or a dozen disks to finish cleaning up, drill the holes, and some finish yellow paint, and I'll soon post some pictures of the finished product. (Tractors here are green with yellow wheels <grin>)

Oh, came up with a clever way to justify a bunch of stick welding practice (which I sorely need) without wasting any material. The bottom disk in each wheel will rest against the wheel lugs, which means there would be some waste space around the lugs bolt heads. And, a by-product of cutting 42 circles out of a rectangle is a whole bunch of small pieces of scrap in various diamonds and triangles. What I plan to do is take the two worst disks surfaces and scrape the paint and rust off, then accurately layout where the lug bolt heads will hit, and weld on scraps and weld bead padding to full up the space on the bottom side of those first two disks (one on each side). I can weld a chunk of scrap onto a disk, letting it overhang the circumference, and then trim it flush with the circle jig, weld another next to it, cut a scrap to fit the spaces, and fill with padding. It won't matter if some of it is ugly, everything adds weight, nothing goes to waste, and I would get lots of practice.

My biggest struggle stick welding is remembering to keep moving the stick in to the bead as it burns up. It tends to get away from me and I get to long an arc. But I am very new to it.

while operating massey ferguson 1240 compact tractor i realized that the rear wheels weren't driving. tried the differential lock, still no drive from rear wheels. when in 4 wheel drive the front wheels drive, the rear wheels don't. in 2 wheel drive nothing happens at all. anybody had this problem? my guess is the pinion gear.

Who manufactured the Cub Cadet 7265 for MTD. I understand Mahindra in India was in overall control of that project and that a Mahindra 2615 HST is identical to the Cub Cadet 7265. If Mitsubishi was the manufacturer, what is their corresponding model number. Anyone who has an illustrated parts list for the Cub Cadet 7265 or Mahindra 2615 HST, please contact me. I'm attempting to find a midpoint PTO adapter kit that will equip the CC 7265 for a belly mower deck. I'm in a hurry as our Florida grass starts growing quite soon. Thanks.

Hey Larry,

Cadets must be good tractors, I've been looking for some time at tractors,(all makes and models), and this is the first Cadet I come across. Seems that most that purchase them keep them. The tractor I'm purchasing is spotless, looks new for a 95 model and has only 360 hours. Pretty sure he hasn't painted it as there is some minor fading. The gentleman I purchase from only used it for grass cutting and keeping up his driveway, hehe,( told he used it for planting a garden once that the crows and deer ate up), and purchased from a Cadet dealer with 50 hours on it in 95. Told me the original buyer that purchase new wasn't happy with it and wanted a bigger tractor. The owner is selling it due to health issues. Anyway, thanks for the post. I'll keep the forum updated once I pick it up this weekend.
