There is also another alterative. I bought a trailer from a company from Canada called Pronovost. This trailer is rated for 3,000lbs and has 2 options for dumping, a battery powered hydrauilc lift or a manual pump. I have a B7510HSD and LOVE this trailer, I use it for everything. I have also loaned it to my father that has a BX2200 and it pulled it fine. BUT, these are a little pricey....about $2,000. I feel it's well worth it. Check the like below. Look at the P-503.

Uw Madison Etc. housing and tuition comes to under 10K or there abouts. So I told them 10 K for college is all I will give each kid. My friends called me a few names along with my sister also. The 170 is turbo charged and is the most popular we sell. Or used to be. The old 180 ssl I did not like so well to me they seemed a little under powered for there weight. The new 185.B has a massive amount of power along with smooth operation and very quiet. Also if you want air this and the 190 are your only choice for "Factory" installed air.

Between the 160 and 170 I would always go with the 170 for the turbo. It may only be 10 ponies but the turbo will pick the engine back up when you pull it down with a load much quicker than not having it.

I do not have the specs here at home but NH web site I know has the specs on it. I am not sure if they have the .B on there yet or not.

Also depending on when you plan on buying one the smaller loaders will be changing in the near future too. And the will have all new specs like the 185.B and the 190.B

NH also has a brand new machine coming out in one month with tracks. Basically the 185.B and the 190.B sitting on tracks.

There are a few alteratives to your problem. Have your local dealer or you can check into wheel spacers, this is what i would recommend to you. I think all you would need is about 1" to do the job. Another alternative, check into a set of rims and hubs for an L5030 Kubota. These have the 8 bolt lug pattern that your L48 does, they have adjustable dishes that your L48 doesn't, and they use the same tires. Just have to have the rubber swapped over. Hope this helps, Doc.

I just bought a John deere 2630.<br>

Problem:<br>
We just had 10" of snow and had a chance to try the tractor out. When one of my rear wheels started to spin I stepped on the differental lock pedal. It woud not move.<br>
After I got done I tried to budge the differental lock pedal and it broke where it goes on the shaft.<br>
After examaning it It was already broke two third of the way before because the break was black and not shiny.<br>
I expect to get a new one, but because it is Saturday afernoon and nothing to loose I welded it back together.<br>
When I tried to put it back on the shaft I found that there <br>
isn't enough room to slip it on the shaft.<br>
Does anyone know how to do it besides taking it to the dealer?<br>

I got a nice new front blower for ny B7610. Since we are about to get a big snow fall today, I am wonderng if I can modify my clearing approach from years gone by where I would go out several times during the storm with my GT each time the snow was up just less than one half the height of my auger.<br>

So with this much bigger two stage Kubota blower with 20" auger versus my old one stage GT with a 11" auger can I wait for the full 18" to fall or should I go out when it is about 10" (half the auger height) and clear it in two passes. I do have a big parking area where I have to re throw alot of the snow as well.<br>

Sounds like the glow plugs are not functioning. Check to confirm the glow plugs are good by either removing and physically eye balling them with power applied. I am not certain if you can check this particular system with a voltmeter for resistance or not. I would check the system for a problem with the switch or faulty relay. DO NOT under ANY circumstances use ether to start the engine. If you must use a start aid such as ether; use WD-40 instead.

I used to know a guy who was stationed at a base in Antartica when he was in the service. I don't remember any of the exact temps. etc. he told about, but it seems a day above -30 was like summer there. I haven't noticed any real estate ads for development property down there. Keep warm. Frank.

I was reading this thread and thinking about the differnt ideas when I remembered that when I was a young lad I used to go visit my Aunt & Uncle's farm. On this farm he had a gasoline tank in the side yard by the driveway and on this gasoline tank he had a pump and on this pump it had a hand crank - eee iii eee iii ooo.

So I looked at both Grainger's and Northern Tool and they have all types of pumps - manual, 12 volt DC, & 120 volt AC. The link is below to Grainger's so you can get an idea.

In fact I'm thinking of building one myself with a hand operated pump. My wife will use the tractor sometimes but, if it needs more fuel she has to wait for me to get home. Like Murf said - anythings better than holding 5 gallons at eye level (at least my wife's eye level) and waiting to see what drains first.

Any ideas where I might be able to get a metal can with the normal drum bungs. I'm looking for something in the 10 to 15 gallon range. I'm leary of the blue plastic ones - don't know if they meet the safety requirements like the approved fuel cans(red, blue, & yellow)do.

This has to be the key to understanding the warning. You won't find such fluids in the corner auto parts or tractor supply store.

You might want to look at the Sims or Curtis cabs unless the air condioning is mandatory. They both offer the soft and hard side with several options including heat. The doors are removable for breezy summer operation. The BH 90 is worth the extra effort.

found like 5 nest in the snowmobile clubs tucker, when we moved that out next they moved into my tractor. The funny thing is one of those little rascals thought the best place to hide was under a tire, no he is in the big cheese heaven. Has anyone tried one of those electronic devices that is suppose to chase them away [ no not my daughters stereo ]

I have a 2004 F-150 super cab 4wd and I LOVE THAT TRUCK. It is the most comfortable and smooth riding truck Ive ever been in. Its also the nicest looking truck ive ever seen. Now I dont know what your talkin about neveragain but im 6ft tall 180 pounds and im just fine with the f150. I like the way Toby Keith put it "I AM A FORD TRUCK MAN THATS ALL I DRIVE"

Well, a quick survey of tractor specs shows that some use a separate pump for power steering and another pump for the 3-pt and auxiliary valves. Others have just one pump. I do not know about the JD 4310.

If I were to take the Kubota L3130, specs show it to have 2 pumps with the PS pump rated at 4.9 gpm and the implement pump rated 8.3 GPM. A total would be 13.2 GPM, also listed in the specs. That total is a useless number in that no reasonable person would think that more than 8.3 GPM would be available to any implement. Something close to 8.3 GPM should be available to any implements, I would think.

Now look at a "budget" L Kubota, like the L2500. It has one pump and it is rated at 7.2 GPM. When you said that some of your Deere's pump output is always routed through the power steering, I tried to find some indication of this for this Kubota. I found nothing in the specs, but I DID find that the factory loader specs for this tractor list loader speed ratings of about 10% less if the tractor has PS. That means about 6.5 GPM is available for implements.
So do you think 0.7 GPM is always roted thru the PS?

I can tell you, two pumps really make a difference.

Also watch for metric shingles. Its no big deal as long as you measure the shingle before you start and use that measurment for any lines. I assumed my shingles were standard and found out the hard way to know what your working with before you start. I just assumed they were the same as usual.

What would be the difference between a outside water spicket off your house and a water spicket attached to the garage? You could always have it pointed OUTSIDE on the garage wall for inspection with a shut off inside the heated garage. (Hey if down the road the darn thing turns around and is pointed inside oh well) Just think about how nice it would be to have that water there and ready anytime you need it. (sorry buddy, had to throw that in) LOL.
