I found the additional after-market valve installation to be much easier than accessing the power beyond circuit. Of course, some factory remote valves are much more involved. My after market valve is just bolted to the top of the fender.

The only advantage that PTO pump hydraulics have is that it is a standard interface to a lot of tractors. If I were selling backhoes for customers to put on their own CUTs, the easiest way to get them up and running is with a PTO pump and reservoir system. Most CUTs don't have the remote hydraulics added, and each tractor is different, so adding hydraulics can be involved.

This same approach applies to the physical backhoe connection: the standard connection is the 3 point hitch. The good connection is a subframe. Unfortunately all CUTs are different, so different subframes are required.

In both cases the standard connections are inferior, but have certain selling advantages.

I agree the BX is the swiss army knife of tractors, meant to do everything a garden tractor can and more. I guess one reason to get the GT could be that you have an extremely delicate lawn, or you use the BH on the BX so much that you don't want to take it off and on, and ditto on the MMM.<br>

So if you have the room and the bucks why not.<br>

But that said if I new I was going to have new GT anyway and not use the BX for mowing, I would skip the BX and get a bigger tractor like a B7800 or a Grand L.

If read your post correctly, $9K invested in a mutual fund will be worth $304K in 18 years.

Sir, please tell me the name of that fund. Assuming it was a legitimate fund, I would love to risk 9K with the chance to make $304K in 18 years. Perhaps there was typo, and you meant to write $30K in 18 years?

You may recall that $9K earning 7% per year will be worth $18K in ten years ("rule of 7"). I haven't bothered to figure out what your hypothetical fund would have to return to go from $9K to $304K, but it must be a pretty hefty percentage. Would love to know about a fund that has that kind of performance.

I'm another happy bx23 owner. It's wonderful! I'm on 15 acres. It's done everything for me from mowing acres of grass to putting in lots of fencing to redoing the gravel drive. Come spring I'll be using it to dig underground water lines for horse waterers and maybe some electric in the horse shed. It's small but it sure does alot.

Had mine in the snow for the first time today.
Cleared about 250 feet of driveway in about 20 minutes with the fel.
Went very good for first time plowing snow.
Had fun.
Now to see How I do with it in a real snow. This was our first one this winter and was only about 2" but it gave me an excuse to go play in the snow.LOL
Oh well at least it was good for a little seat time.

The engine, as you probably know, being turboed is loud to begin with. The noise is a combination of hydraulic pump/motors "growling" or "groaning", typical gear teeth chattering at the flywheel pumps--just general loudness from the system. Like the salesman said to me: hey you're sitting on top of and in and around the engine and the hydraulic components." Yep, but this is TOO noisey. The nosies are especially loud (groaning gear chatter) when in high gear. Then you really hear the mechanicals lugging. It is so loud that a cement truck driver on a job with cement mixing with engine running could hear my machine in high gear 300 feet away as I drove way from him. He was so concerned he jumped out of his truck to tell me something had to be wrong with the machine as he could ehar it---and he remarked he has has been around a lot of "bobcats" and had never heard anything that loud.

I've had a hole rubbed through the vacuum line to the booster on the master cylinder before, I had to stand on the brake peddle to make it work. Don�t know if that�s how yours are working/ not working.

I let my premium membership expire and am getting with Dennis to get it alive again, so I can't read your entire message. I've got some of his photos, they are a little dark, so you can't see too much. I've asked for your email address so I can attach some photos and pricing. I found out the vette has 13,500 miles on it. I think it is 405HP with a 3.4:1 gear. The Viper is 450HP with 3.08:1 gear.

I work in Washington DC and the SUV craze is ridiculous. We are getting a dusting of snow as I write this now. The forecast is for 1 to 2 inches and listening to the radio, there have been so many wrecks all ready. You can have the best vehicle in the world, but if you have an idiot behind the wheel it doesn't do much good. The 4 wheel drive and all wheel drive get you going better but don't do a thing for slowing you down which most people in the city don't realize and when you get a bunch of people in a hurry to go stopping is a premium!!!!! I'm watching from the window as cars slide through the intersections.

That tractor series is the same as 10 year old Cub-Cadets like mine, only it is painted "Red". People never took the Cadet as a serious tractor. I've been trying to tell people for years that it is great, weighs and lifts more. The only things to look for are that the motor to frame mounting bolts vibrate loose and a solenoid should be added to the starting circuit for more positive starts due to all of the electrical safety interlocks. I leave the cab on year 'round. I just take the doors and rear curtain off. Great when it rains. And, yes, the windshield is heavy.

Two years ago I bought a 4110 with Bradco 11ft hoe.. From New England tractor in Bethel Ct... Superb dealer, treated me right and continues to do so even though I recently sold the machine,, Can't say enough good about that dealer,, the 4110 did everything I asked of it.,. I had one issue when first bought,, the pumps that came then only had 7GPM, and therefore couldn't run the Bradco hoe.. New England tractor and Mahindra both worked and put on a 14GPM PTO pump and 15 gallon reservoir.. that ended the only issue I had with the machine,,, Built solid and good fit and finish, Like anything mechanical, as long as maintenance is kept up, you should get many years service out of it..

And then there is brian Williems. On 9/11 I was about to take a float down a river to fish for muskies (the day before the opener for my bear season) The guy at the DNR office told me to come in back and see this! After many calls home (I was pretty much in the sticks) We went on our float for musky. That night we were watching tv at my house. Unless I turn on the power antanna (many folks up here dont have one) I get only 1 channel. That channel had Brian Williems on it. I could NOT believe what he was saying. He took his political beliefs and his political agenda and put it infront of his journalistic duties (especially in a time like this) I was totaly amazed this was not brought up later. Even the guy commenting with him looked at him in disbelief. One guy he interviewd by phone called him on what he was saying. I wish I had a way to get a tape of that. It would make him look like the fool he is. He reminds me of wantinmg to act and talk like tom brokaw (anouther special chap)
I used to like Bill ORiely before his head got too big for his time slot. I also stopped watching most of the talking heads. Dont know if anyone has felt the same as me, but I read the stories put on yahoo's home page and they seem to be tilting way to much one sided also.
Personelly I am sick and tired of our new coverages agendas. They talk to us like most of us can not figure out anything for our selves. A JEDI MIND TRICK!!!!!

I think you should consider a Mahindra 2615HST 4X4, I bought one and love it! The whole tractor is made in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Very strong loader and 3pt lift. Very heavy at 2600lbs! It doesn't matter what's under the hood if you don't have traction. Mid PTO is standard, 15" wide R4 tires are standard. I only regret not ordering it with the rear hyd. valves.
Orange= light weight/ Blue and Green= Middle weight/
Red= Heavy weight! Good Luck!!

I would sent a couple thousand more and go with the 2615HST 4X4. 600lbs heavier, and 3 ranges instead of 2. I travel in high, do most loader work in mid range, and can do the impossible in low range. I almost bought the 2015HST but I'm thrilled I spent a little more. Trust me, if want to be trendy and have extra money to blow go with green or orange....If you want the best,(for your money)buy the red heavy weight!

I have a Mahindra 2615HST 4X4 that I paid $14,500 for. I was thinking of buying a Kubota Cab model and my dealer here in San Antonio offered me $12,500! (75hrs) I think that is one strong offer! Maybe you need to call Bill's tractor?
