Dont get me wrong, not weary just want to make the right choice. BOTH I am considering all options.
HEY MURPHY acres, that is really a great idea with the computer editorial of the house project. I have a few ?'s
1. I did not know you were building anouther house! Where have I been?
2. Where did all you trees go? LOL How far is it to town and you just have hell for wind storms there eh? Where is it that your building and why? Is this in Ole Canada still?
PS Nice looking contruction love the heavy timbers for the walls! That is my plan also

I do not have personal experience with the 4300, but I have put the remote hydro circuit on 3 JD955s. The only part I had to get from Deere was a $2 hex plug. The two hydraulic 90-degree fittings, 2 hoses, and the quick disconnects cost about another $70 or so. JD wanted $120 for the kit, but they were out of production and not available. And the tractor was only 6 y old!

Anyway the most important thing to get was the instructions, because how to install was not in any manual.

The JD955 uses the Yanmar 3TN84 engine, which is the same as the 4300, I am told. I do not know how similar the HST and SCV blocks are....

Please explain this blocking of the clutch for me? I did not do this and it will more than likely sit for anouther 2-3 months. It already sat since Dec.1 Anything I should do when I first try to get her going? I think I should of done more homework before leaving last month. I thought I would be back in 2 weeks and I was going to give it a final leave inspection and preperation but I never was able to get back up there. It is in a garage if that helps at all?

Two years ago I bought a 4110 with Bradco 11ft hoe.. From New England tractor in Bethel Ct... Superb dealer, treated me right and continues to do so even though I recently sold the machine,, Can't say enough good about that dealer,, the 4110 did everything I asked of it.,. I had one issue when first bought,, the pumps that came then only had 7GPM, and therefore couldn't run the Bradco hoe.. New England tractor and Mahindra both worked and put on a 14GPM PTO pump and 15 gallon reservoir.. that ended the only issue I had with the machine,,, Built solid and good fit and finish, Like anything mechanical, as long as maintenance is kept up, you should get many years service out of it..

I am 39 yrs old have 2 houses paid off along with 160 acres of wooded property. There is no way what so ever I could of ever done that if I had a wedding bill to pay off.
Here is the way it works in the real world (our new generation of kids dont understand this) Your parents tell you how much they will donate to the wedding. You look at what you have in the BANK!!!! Not a charge card or loan. You take what you can afford and have the money in your hand. Keep the cost under that.
Parents of future brides:
Here is a bit of advice (only my opinion)
1. If your kid is under 30 give them 1K only.
Tell them to make it work.
2. If you were going to give them more, take that money
put it in a cd, and when they go to buy their first
house or 5 years later (which ever come last) give
them a gift of the rest of the money.
Reasons behind this whacked kind of thinking? If it is your daughter getting married, over 25% dont last very long. She can them use that money to divorce her true love.
If it is your son? He then can use that money to defend himself as good as he can (if kids are involved.
If they stay married and life is good? They will think the world of you when they go to buy a house after 5 years or more and they find out after wards that you will give them that money to put down on the principle (principle is the key word!!!! not just a gift for a trip)
I see this all the time in my area. 26 year olds getting hitched and having a kid right away. Both have good jobs. The bank tells them they can afford a house that they obviosly can not and live the right way. Both parents work all the time day care fights over money 2 new cars in the driveway, credit card debt up the ying yang whala Divorce!!!!!
I agree with some of the others here. Keep your money in your pocket, no gift is worth giving until they have earned the gift.

In 1985 rock was in big time! I had polish polka's along with 50's 60's music mixed with the new rock music at that time (about a 50% split) My wedding guests loved it. MY requirement for the band was that the first 2 hours they toned it down and played a mix with the stress put on the older tunes. The last 2 hours I wanted to rock the house! ALL my guests loved the wedding!!! ALL OF THEM! The older folks were content with 2 hours of easy going mixed with some rock. The younger ones actually like hearing it also knowing that soon the old folk would be retireing to their geritol bottles and would be leaving as soon as the music changed. WE really rocked the house!
The band learned a song they never knew because we requested it. It was called something like "I knew the bride when she used to rock and roll" When they played that song 2 hours into the gig I knew it was all over!

Yes! I bought a 2615HST 4X4 from Bill's Tractor here in San Antonio. Love the tractor, love the dealer. 2015,2615,3015 tractors are all made in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. If the quality stays high the Mahindra name will rise above JD, and Kubota within 5-10yrs. These tractors are 1000lbs heavier than a comp. kubota! And lift much more on both ends! They also come with a full 3yr warr! If your not trying to impress your neighbor's the cheapest,heaviest,most powerful and best tractor is RED! Good Luck!

And then there is brian Williems. On 9/11 I was about to take a float down a river to fish for muskies (the day before the opener for my bear season) The guy at the DNR office told me to come in back and see this! After many calls home (I was pretty much in the sticks) We went on our float for musky. That night we were watching tv at my house. Unless I turn on the power antanna (many folks up here dont have one) I get only 1 channel. That channel had Brian Williems on it. I could NOT believe what he was saying. He took his political beliefs and his political agenda and put it infront of his journalistic duties (especially in a time like this) I was totaly amazed this was not brought up later. Even the guy commenting with him looked at him in disbelief. One guy he interviewd by phone called him on what he was saying. I wish I had a way to get a tape of that. It would make him look like the fool he is. He reminds me of wantinmg to act and talk like tom brokaw (anouther special chap)
I used to like Bill ORiely before his head got too big for his time slot. I also stopped watching most of the talking heads. Dont know if anyone has felt the same as me, but I read the stories put on yahoo's home page and they seem to be tilting way to much one sided also.
Personelly I am sick and tired of our new coverages agendas. They talk to us like most of us can not figure out anything for our selves. A JEDI MIND TRICK!!!!!

I think you should consider a Mahindra 2615HST 4X4, I bought one and love it! The whole tractor is made in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Very strong loader and 3pt lift. Very heavy at 2600lbs! It doesn't matter what's under the hood if you don't have traction. Mid PTO is standard, 15" wide R4 tires are standard. I only regret not ordering it with the rear hyd. valves.
Orange= light weight/ Blue and Green= Middle weight/
Red= Heavy weight! Good Luck!!

I would sent a couple thousand more and go with the 2615HST 4X4. 600lbs heavier, and 3 ranges instead of 2. I travel in high, do most loader work in mid range, and can do the impossible in low range. I almost bought the 2015HST but I'm thrilled I spent a little more. Trust me, if want to be trendy and have extra money to blow go with green or orange....If you want the best,(for your money)buy the red heavy weight!

I have a Mahindra 2615HST 4X4 that I paid $14,500 for. I was thinking of buying a Kubota Cab model and my dealer here in San Antonio offered me $12,500! (75hrs) I think that is one strong offer! Maybe you need to call Bill's tractor?

I'm with these guys. I have a bx2200 and didn't bother getting or spending 2k for a deck, instead I bought a nice used 52" scag hydro with a stand on velke. The hills in my yard have been no problem with the scag. I wouldn't think of taking my bx2000 kubota on these hills nor a scag or any type of sit down zero turn.

I cut over and acre in 12-15 minutes. My old whel horse took me over an hour plus with all kinds of trimming needed. save the dough, keep the IH and buy a nice hydro walkbehind with a velke. Be sure to get a hydro with the hills, you won't be happy with a belt drive...good luck..Jim

Went to Fed Ex today and missed the turn. Went a little further to turn around, what, whats this? tractors? red ones? I had to turn there, real slow, I was afraid to stop. It's a new dealer in Bangor or the town next door, Hermon, same thing. Lots of nice lookin big red tractors. A new Dealer in town, a new brand, how long can I keep away??? hmmm??? Oh man this kinda stuff gets me in trouble every time.

They have the "offroadability" of an Audi AWD. Airing down is to let the sidewall flex and conform over uneven terrain. Low profile tires do not flex, even at extremely low pressure (the theory behind run-flats), which is why they handle on the highway better.

This theory is why some older SUV's have tall sidewall tires (ie older Exploders) to allow the tire to slip laterally rather than grip and cause a rollover. Unfortunately, tire deflection at lower pressure causes "tripping" which is when the tire deflects too far to the side allowing the rim to contact the road surface thus kicking the vehicle over.

So I don�t have to fight both sides of the tire at once, I�ll usually lay the tire flat, stand on the tire with my feet 180deg apart, and then pull the rim upwards with a little wiggling, and working my way around the tire, to get the back bead to seat as much as possible.<br>

Then I stand the wheel upright, push the unseated side of the rim back, while giving it the air. You may have to finagle it a bit, but all you need is for that front side to seat for split-second, then you got it. Having the valve core removed is a must.<br>

Also, sometimes when it�s standing upright, if you still can�t get it to seat, the rope or strap around the tread works good, bouncing the tire, or even a good smack on the tread with a large rubber faced hammer will give it enough of a jolt to get the outer bead to seat.<br>
<br>
A snap-on type air chuck also helps, if your on your own, and only have two hands.

Here is an update. I switched to synthetic. I couldn't get the Lucas here in anything but regular conventional. I ended up going with Valvoline 75/90 full syn as per several good comments about it on this site. It's colder than cold here in New England these days but so far no more leaks or drips. I put a few hours on it already.

Not 100% sure it will be leak free until it warms up a little but Murf...Looks like you made a good call. Thanks!

Just a dumb question. Is the synthetic oil much thinner than conventional? I poured that stuff out like it was 10w30. It wasn't like honey like regular gear oils. I was surprised when I poured it how "thin" it seemed compared to 80 weight gear oil???
