Also, wear your seat belt. While avoiding a rollover is the best action, in case it does happen, a seat belt and the ROPS can be a life saver. You might want to check out prior threads, I believe that they are in the safety forum.

I never set the parking brake just lower the bucket and stabilizers. When i'm ready to move I raise the stabilizers reach around raise bucket and push on the big go pedal. I'm not real sure if this is a Kubota approved method but it works and sure saves lots of time. Only problems I see at all with the BX23 is with the bucket and hoe on you have to be extra careful on hills or it seems you could upset it fairly easy. I'm in WV where most land is hills so i've put the BX23 to the test and have had it up on three wheels several times. I checked and was told you could not widen it any. Just keep the seatbelt tight and go easy. The last and biggest problem is that your neighbors will see it and ask you to do a few things for them and a few will even ask to borrow it. Yeah right?

Not sure on your modell, but there is a pin where the hydraulic control lever connects to the valve control arm. If the control arm on the front of the spool is rotating freely from the hydraulic control lever , there is something wrong with the linkage, probably a sheared pin. The control arm should move the spool through the valve body. Take another look at the linkage and see if the control arm is rotating inside the sleeve on the bottom end of the control lever, or if it is loose from the housing.

I'm not sure this is as clear as I would like for it to be, but since there is no noticeable engine lugging or hydraulic system noise, It doesn't seem like you are actuating the control valve. Even when the system works right, there is some noticeable load on the engine. You either have no fluid flow at the valve, which is less likely, or your linkage isn't actuating the valve.

A more remote cause would be that the PB line from your FEL valve isn't functioning. The PB on the FEL completes the hydraulic circuit towards the rear of the tractor, including the 3-pt system. If there isn't flow from the PB, you wouldn't have flow to the 3-pt. This could dead-head the pump causing pump failure.

I would start with a good look at the 3-pt control linkage and make sure that the control valve is operating properly when the lever is shifted.

Well, my poor little 2200 just takes my abuse and keeps on tickin. I was knocking down briars with the FEL and promptly got stuck. Got my son's F150 4WD, too muddy to get it out. Finally went to the rock pile, wheelbarrelled a load of rocks into the mud, put it in 4WD and backederout!!! Tough little tractor. Hope it'll forgive me.

I remember the 4310/4410 because I was shopping for them, but the hp is not part of the 10 series model numbers. JD has been sending out a bunch of surveys about their model numbering so this may change in the future.

There are other differences too. Off the top of my head the 90 series have dry brakes vs. wet brakes, fixed ROPS vs. folding ROPS, fewer 3-point options (adjustable links, etc), poorer ergonomics (the 90 series is just too darn small for me), weaker hydraulics (IIRC), and probably some other stuff I don't remember.

We have radiant in bathrooms and it is very, very nice but still - to do a garage that is empty of people most of the time seems a big waste of energy unless Solar works in your area. It won't work here in Oregon.

A 4100 Gear will not have a live PTO.... So not so good for mowing.

Our overflow was a case of operator error. Since the sink takes (seemingly) 10 minutes to fill I walked away and got distracted by something. As a CRS impaired individual, I simply forgot about the sink for about 30 minutes. The HVAC vents did make nice floor drains. We have sensors under the dishwasher, washer/dryer and water heater that will shut the water off when leaks are detected, and the security system announces the problem and calls my cell phone. Unfortunately the sensors aren't under the sinks (which are hard-piped).

I just bought the front snow blade for my BX2230, its real nice but I have concerns. The first being do I need to add the skid plates/shoes and the second being that both the dealer & Kubota in Ohio told me that the hydraulic lines going to the cylinder for the power angle are made to fit three different machines and they looped the hoses and cable tied and clamped them to the angling cylinder, is this OK for them to be coiled and in the way? I would think for the money $2100 out the door it would not be universal what�s so ever!!

as a matter of fact i did not...not even a little. The only even kind of illness i got was when i got back to illinois...I'm thinking the steady drinking regimine helped to keep me kickin...and man, the food down there is excellent, especially those stuffed pablano peppers....(drool)

Ken - Sorry to hear you had such a bad airport experience. My wife & I took the kids to Disney World in October which is about a 3 hour flight & i'm not sure if we just got lucky because it was an early morning flight or what but it was a breeze boarding. The lines were small & we got threw with no hassles. The only annoyance was we has to remove our shoes to go threw the line inspection. It wouldnt have been so hard if we didnt have an children with us.

Back to the main thread - Sometimes You have to do what you dont want to do in a marriage, Its a give / take relationship. This could be the reason why the divorce rate is some rediculous percentage now something like 57%. Trust me I have watch a few of my friends threw them & I would rather take a long trip with people I'd rather not go with then to create hardship in my marriage. We'll all be here to hand you the kleenex when you get back.

You may well be correct that JD uses these a lot of places, and I have seen them at the dealer and at a Wilco locally, but always in larger sizes. However my JD790 and the 419 FEL both came from the dealer with 3/8" lines and standard ISO-A couplers in the 3/8" -06 size, not the JD style with a steep tapered tip.
