Yes, i'm back from hiatus, except i'm thinking maybe i should have stayed, i'm sure it was the same old stuff...and i didn't miss anything...but....fyi, mexico is overrated

I spent two years traveling to Mexico for business. I don't want to ever go back.

I do feel sorry for the people in Mexico. To see how they have to live is hard to take after a while. ....

I would agree, Mexico is not my favorite vacation spot. However, I would return to Cabo San Lucas. There are better vacation places in the Caribbean, i.e., Aruba, St Thomas/St.John, St. Lucia, Caymen Islands, to name a few. ....

The all inclusive resorts are great, but going and coming is the downside. Seeing people live in 3 world countries makes me depressed. I also don't like driving through the ghettos of our own cities.

I just as soon stay in the US of A. If you have a need to hear non-English speaking wait staff, go to downtown Chicago, LA or Miami.

I'm more into mini-vacations and get aways. You can go to the Red Lobster in your local town, pretend that you are at a sea coast village, eat steak, shrimp, crabs and lobster, and drink sunset passion pina colada's. The coladas are the best part. In less than 1/2 hour you can be home in your own bed and not worry about being robbed or scammed or whether or not Montezuma will have his revenge. ....

i guess i never really thought of mexico as a third world country until i actually saw everything first hand. And the plumbing (manual flush) was just not my cup of meat man...if that place didn't have so many awesome beaches...i'd never even mutter the word ever again. ....

as a matter of fact i did not...not even a little. The only even kind of illness i got was when i got back to illinois...I'm thinking the steady drinking regimine helped to keep me kickin...and man, the food down there is excellent, especially those stuffed pablano peppers....(drool) ....
