In my opinion, "fair" is closer to rough but running and all functioning, leaks, blowby bent sheetmetal, balding or cracked up tires, maybe some welded bits here and there or a few cracks. If they bothered to repaint and it is not a spraypaint job, it is more likely "good".

For 2/12 acres I would ask you to test drive the B7510, I have owned bigger but I have not owned a more versital tractor to do what you are asking!!

If only they threw in more of those bend washers... Also getting the width right can sometimes be a pain; but nothing like aligning without the quick hooks.<br>

I have the 2003 4310 and its great. I don't have ehydro and my loader is the 420, but I have no complaints. You will love it.

Please clear up one thing.

I thinkI am familiar with OSB and Plywood. But what is wafer board? Is it what we call particle board around here?

Particle board = Big sawdust / saw chips + glue

OSB - Thin pieces of wood like a plane would produce + glue (2-3" x 1-2" each)

What does wafer board look like?

Murf, before I tear it apart for no reason what Lucas product or products do you suggest I try for the front axle fluid or additive?

Also, is there a good mail order place to get them?

Hey Murf..... We are right in the middle of the "big dump", at least by local standards. This would be just an average storm in Anchorage.

I couldn't get all my poo in one sock, so I am plowing with what I got: a 54 inch front blade on the 4115.

It's working ok.... especially since I cobbled up some bigger skid shoes for it. There is way more snow to move than this blade is designed for, so I have to take it off in layers and making multiple passes.

I think I am going to adapt your idea and use a 2" pipe as an adjustable skid bar behind the blade (in lieu of skid shoes), as I am having lots of trouble gouging the gravel driveway.

Whoops. It just started snowing again. Looks like I will have to put off re-inventing the wheel for now. We are supposed to get a foot of snow in the next 24 hours down here in the valley. The mountains west of us are going to get another 5 feet or more.

I used a magnetic oil pan to thaw it and it took 10min. Works great. Didn't get rid of the moisture, so I will try the hairdryer trick and use some lithium grease next time.

My good lady hasn't had much inclination to run anything mechanical beyond her car since she decided it would be 'fun' to try driving my TLB home from the neighbours.

Being an idustrial HST it has the 'range' selector where you would expect a shifter in a vehicle with a standard transmission, it even has a clutch pedal to disconnect the drive power. It then has a shifter stick on the left side of the steering column which is pushed forwards to go forward, and pulled back for reverse with a neutral in the middle.

Everything was apparently a little too automotive-like in function and it looked a little too easy to drive.

It even went pretty well ... at first anyways.

She was coming up the road from the neighbours and saw a car approaching from behind in the rearview mirro, being the conscience driver that she is decided to put on the left turn signal ................

If the 'turn signal' lever hadn't been the shifter, and 'left' wasn't reverse it would have gone a LOT smoother.

BTW, it's amazing how fast you can stop a 20,000 pound machine by throwing it into reverse at 25 mph ...

Almost as fast as the 6,000 pound SUV behind her ......

The Bx23 is a perfect tractor for your size land and after the stumps are gone you won\'t need the much larger tractor. I honestly believe that unless you have jeep sized boulders to move, the Bx23 is all you need ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good advice I agree.
