My 4115 has 24 gross/20 pto HP and is rated to run a 72 inch mid mount mower.

Go to the Deere web page and "build/accessorize" a new 790 and see what it offers as options.

Hardwood those are the ones I was refering to! They are tough to get the parts for and if they are still good then they should be coveted to keep them that way unless you know someone that can make parts.

I don't know if other brands offer this feature or not, but Land pride is my favorite. They have an adjustable top hook that you can change by pulling two pins to raise it or lower it in about 30 seconds to fit whatever Cat. 1 hitch your impliment has. Lots easier than cutting and welding up hitches to fit a fixed size coupler. Frank.

On my old 89 S-10 p/u, my key would pull out with it running. However my wife's key would not, but her's was a factory key and mine was a duplicate from Wal-Mart. I came to the conclusion that it was a combination of her heavy key chain swinging back and forth that helped loosen the switch up some as well as the cheaper metal from the duplicate key which allowed just enough for my key to come out. She no longer has a bunch of key chains hanging off her keys!!! She almost burnt the starter up on another vehicle when it couldn't kick the switch back to on, the key chain had gotten caught on something.

I have a 60" Befco boxblade on my 7800 and it will pull it with the scarifiers all the way down without much of a problem unless the ground it muddy or really wet. I have loaded R-4's for the tires on the tractor.

ICF walls are Insulated Concrete Forms - They are a concrete wall form system that you stack like legos and fill with steel and concrete. Makes for an air tight wall with insulation on the exterior and interior. Firring strips are usually tied to the concrete beneath the foam that you can attach sheetrock and siding to. I used the forms from www.nudura.com, but they are sold by 20-30 companies each with a slight change or difference.

We had 100 mile an hour winds a few days ago, and you could hardly tell.

I have spread fertilizer, pelletized lime, sand, and salt (only twice) through my Befco spreader. As with fertilizer, you do need a thorough cleaning and oiling after spreading salt. There's a picture of my Befco Baby Hop on my late 2210 in my profile pics. It works great on my 4110, too.

I'm torn. Has anyone researched the L4630 vs. JD 4320? I'm going to buy one or the other with FEL, HST, R4 tires. Any cons of either?<br>

rman476; Your thoughts are much apreciated. It's been a bit over a month now and things are getting easier, our loss was an expected part of life, but you're still never ready. We were able to handle our loss in a planned peacefull manner unlike the victims and familys of the terrible disaster in the tidal wave, that would be more overwhelming than I can even imagine. lbrown59: For what it is worth, I was suggesting that the BX23 is a very effective and useful machine. Your reply seems to imply that I was promoting the bigger tractors--and that is not true. However, the bigger L series can do some of the BH and FEL work faster than the BX23. But faster may not be the best option. choice of tractor really depends on the intended uses and the size of the property involved. I was suggesting to Manicmech that his uses should be discussed with a good dealer as well as obtaining input from this discussion forum. While I really love my BX23, Manicmech will need to sort out what works for him.

I also considered Mahindra, JD, NH, MF,Kabota and checked all of their prices,, but, they were at twice the price of the Chinese tractor price. And I wanted some money's left over to buy some equipment and not have a monthly payment. 90hours of boxblading, my little 224 is still cranking, pulling, & turning. And I might ad, that the others didn't offer a spring suspension seat on the 22hp, and I would not do without now.

I went with V-Bar cross links spaced every 2 links apart.

To my suprise they weight 100 lb.s each!

Stoner Wade is still here chugging along. It is not that the frasiers will die, there is just the strong possibility that they will not look very nice. My dad has one in Oxford PA and it is over 16' tall now but just not quality looking. Norways are my favorite for landscape use and screening. Fast growing 18-24" per year, sometimes more. Easy and not fussy. Very nice dark green. I sell hundreds a year. White pines are more popular and a tiny bit faster but the faster pines grow, the more open they are. Pines only form buds where they stop growing, while spruces and firs form buds all along the leader.

Well it is solved; the package under the tree was a trek for my grand daughter not a box scraper. The attached photo shows us testing the big green out. I think she was not happy on her new toy and wanted to drive mine. Check out photo, I am going to have her working the big green tractor soon.
