Never heard of Takeuchi untill a few minutes ago comparing Kubota at their site they had them listed. Do you have a link? My power went out a few minutes ago so had to type this over, 70 mph winds at least. I'm on the side of a mountian and the nearest break is about 2 miles away, another mountian. Pieces of tree's are bouncing off the house. Asked the electrician to finish up the genorator hook up few weeks ago. Of course I'll be sitting in the dark tonight because he hasn't shown up. I think I'm going to work toward a 520 and an excavator. Hey everyone, I have a nice 2004 JD 110tlb with hyd thumb 16"and 24" buckets quick tatch, plus a 3pt set forsale.

BA, from someone who is not loyal to any brand, just form and function. I seriously considered NH and demoed several. I know supersteer gives a tighter inside diameter, superior for mowing, even field work, but it adds considerable length to the machine with a loader on. I would be curious to see the OUTSIDE diameter of a supersteer with loader, turning without brakes, compared to the other big 2. NH by far has the worst specs online and in their literature. I have even spoken to NH corporate about it. I couldn't even find the weight of any compact machine, let alone other figures like dimensions. They acknowledged the lack of info but had no idea why it wasn't available and couldn't give it to me. My dealer did have some in his dealer books. I have a suspicion that some or all of the advantage on the inside is eaten up on the outside by the added length.

The amount of time it will save compared to getting off and on and adjusting by hand is so great that I don't believe it would be possoble to duplicate by hand except for the most basic adjustments. Also I believe the range of motion is greater with the T&T. The implements it really shines on include box scrapers, scraper blades, and post hole diggers.

I have a 2004 model JD for sale on E Bay. It has a backhoe box scraper, brush hog, land scape rake. only has 125 hours on it. Check it out!!! Item number: 3862143323. I been reading the posts on this page for a long time , never thought I would be selling my trusty 790. I am moving to Salem Oregon and will not have any use for the tractor.<br>

I am taking delivery on a new L3830 in January and spoke with the dealer about the hours on it and he told me to expect about 6 hours on it to accommodate set-up with FEL 753, BH90, and then some testing including a dyno test. Because I live about 110 miles away from this dealer, he wants to make sure everything is to spec to avoid any problems. How many hours are considered normal for a "new" tractor? Being new to larger tractors, I have don't know what to expect for hours. Thanks for the help!

The best engine heater that I have ever used is a tank type heater. The only problem with a tank heater is that they take up more room than other heaters, but they work better. They heat the water and circulate it through the motor. You can touch anywhere on a engine when it is 0 degrees out and it will be warm.

same with being in the office, i'm here and the insurance agent here says "wouldn't you rather be looking at an insurance site or something?" pffff...those stuffy old farts. If you don't do it you don't understand i guess. They don't understand i'm just here for the winter, i have office work. At least i can kind of talk about tractors at work now...

If you are considering doing it yourself or with a local contractor, check out Miracle Truss, and Kentucky Steel buildings, they used a system of trusses rather than I beams and may be easier for the average person. I chose I-beam for price and had local guy build it. I went with a high pitch to match house and garage, not low pitch like an industrial warehouse.

The best thing you can do for your engine is to change your oil and filter after the first 20 miles. Most of the wearing in process happens immediately, creating a lot of metal in the oil. Plus, the amount of leftover machining chips and other crud left behind in the manufacturing process is simply amazing !! You want to flush that stuff out before it gets recycled and embedded in the transmission gears, and oil pump etc...

I like to compare the break in fast idea to the other extreme, the slow break in. There have been a couple of times when I have bought a so called "cherry" car which was owned by an old lady and had low miles (<60K). One of which was my wifes grandmother and the other was my own mother's car. Both these engines were the worst performing, oil burning pigs I have ever owned. Both had also been maintained properly.

I agree that the 72" seemed too big. The dealer agreed today to transfer a 65" BoxBlade in for me which I think might be about right, assuming I can get enough ballast on the rear. Sorry for the "one man thread" but I was trying to break up a long story into small chunks for those who don't subscribe premium yet.
