I don't know of any problems there but it doesn't mean that there couldn't have been an isolated problem with the clutch. I find most dealers all have a salesperson that has a story of one brands failure or another for every victim they talk to. It takes a while for them to weed themselves out but they normally do.

I've seen where people have disconnected on pallets, built up concrete sections and just about every type of condition. For what I've found over the past 20 plus years of Quick Disconect loaders level is level and flat is flat and they mean that not only for where the loader sits but also the tractor while mounting and dismounting. Most of the PTO shafts turn today when the tractors are off for alignment purposes when attaching implements.

Anyone had experience in adding rear work lights to a 2210? I want light(s) for backing up when snowblowing this winter.<br>

How big to too big? Is it better to mount them high on the ROPS or just over the turn signals? One of two? Should they swivel front to back? Where do I best tap into the 12V power? Does Deere have a solution or is it a after-market thing?<br>

Rent a Vermeer 252 stump cutter for the day,after doing all your cutting of brush and tree's. You can take the stumps down to grade or up to 13" below without disturbing the
roots of neighboring tree's. You will be amazed how many you can do in a day.
Rake out the chips and you will be able to mow.

You have three option's as I see it. Not sure how the builing is framed, but you must have some framing between posts if you have sheet goods on it? How is it framed?<br>
First thing to remember is the vinyl must be nailed loose.<br>
In a climate of seasonal change the vinyl will buckle if nailed tight. It expands and contracts. You may or may not know this. I don't know your experience, so..<br>
The vinyl must be nailed to a point where you can slide it<br>
left and right when done.<br>
You can buy Galv. roofing nails down to 5/8", but you can't hold on to them to nail. A 3/4 Galv nail would do,<br>
but you would have some protrusion.<br>
You could add another layer of sheathing,either inside or out, expensive.<br>
You could strap what you have,and use a 1 1/4" nail.<br>
What about insulation, are you planning to do that at some point? That would hide it. <br>
IMHO A long nail is not needed, once through the sheathing, it has done it's job. I would use Galv. roofers on OSB<br>
as they grab better than Alum.<br>
Another thought, Not sure how old the sheathing is and what kind of shape it is in but,<br>
If is fairly new and solid I would suggest painting at least the bottom 3-4'<br>
near the ground before siding. OSB is known to act like a sponge over time and<br>
will draw moisture and expand thus causing you nails to fail.<br>
Oil based stain works good,get that bottom edge, and do the inside too.<br>

I dont know for sure but I think its alot more than that. I heard of guys going down to the dublin plant to watch their tractor being ass. Also some perks were gave to guys I work with who did go down there. Since I dont really know though for sure I could be wrong. Unless you are 100% sure why dont you check on that for me since I have no connections anymore! LOL

That plant was in Racine (just south of Milw.) As late as 2 years ago we had 3 plants in Racine, 1. the transmision plant where I work, we also made valves and axles and many other parts for other places.
2. the foundry: we used to make our own castings till last year. The Fiat guys said'" its not in our core buisness plans anymore to do that" So now we ship em from around the country and from china!!!!!
3. The plant that burned was actually the old TRACTOR plant where the tractors would used to be assembled. We would ship our transmitions down the road to them and the foundry would get us the castings for machining. It was a great set up just a little screwed up. Most of that plant that burned was already demolished. The fire really did not doo too much damage since it was schedualed to come down soon. Now In Racine we only have the corp. headquarters and the NEW TRACTOR/TRANSMITION plant. we expanded our operations at the old transmition plant to be able to run blue and red on a new assembly line. Its pretty efficient now except that they have no one there that knows what to do anymore! LOL
I checked this morning, they have 23 tractors out the door (in 5 weeks not bad huh?) Oh all of those were already on the line when we walked!

Dmnsmith; Thank goodness you bought a real popular tractor that holds it's resale well. Spring might be a little better time of the year to sell, but like Archdean said advertise and sell locally to someone you can find back in case of a hitch. I really don't have a clue what the asking price should be, but at a fair price it will sell. Enjoy your day. Frank.

1*59: Not sure what you mean by "lining" as in leaving the trench open?
2*My trenches are always covered, unless it is temporary. I typically do it for running rain downspouts from a home to the street or storm sewer, or 10 acre parcels used for farming or horses. In any case, I always use either perforated or non-perf., black, flexible "soil" pipe which gets backfilled with the spoils; I typically don't backfill with gravel or other material to keep cost down. Some customers want a fabric sock-covered pipe installed but once they see the cost is almost double they settle with perforated.

1*Some ditches/trenches have to remain open because if you cover them up you no longer have a drainage ditch .

2* This will work fine for that but not for a drainage ditch.

I had the same issue when they delivered my 4110 what I ended up doing was turning the buckle untill the two pieces separate and then twist off a few threads on the buckle end then reattach and you can get it to the sway point that the other posters are talking about. Good Luck.

I agree with jdgreen. Both are great tractors. I don't think you will go wrong with either. I suggest you look at, compare, and demo the two so as to get a first hand review of the various features and ergonomics and go with the machine that suits you best.

The upcharge to go to the B7610 with the 352 loader is about $1000 ($700 + for B7610, balance for the bigger loader). With the B7610 you get the most HP and biggest loader available in the B7510, B7610, B2410 framesize. The key thing you are missing then is the position control of the B2410, which you may or maynot miss depending on what you are doing with the tractor. On such a big purchase I think another grand for the B7610 is worth it. Nonetheless either machine will probably be fine.

Morning All, Yes rubber tensioners should work,if, I can get some heavy duty ones. The ones I used on my old tractor were at the limit with the chains they were being used with 23" tires if I recall. These new chains are I believe, heavier in thickness (diameter of chain) and definitely heavier because of length. So the tensioners will have to be heavy duty. I think there may be some HD rubber tensioners somewhere. Any truckers out there ever use rubber tensioners? Oh well, the bigger the toy the more the associated gear weighs-but- the bigger smile is worth it!!!
Anyway, thinking about it I came up with an idea that I just tried, and seems that will work just fine. I used a pair of brake scissors(or pliers) used for attaching the retraction spring on drum brakes (remember them?):) Just grab the hook end of the spring and the link on the connector chain, and bingo there ya go!!!! I just tried one and it looks as if it will work just fine. I will get back to it later and see if any modifications are needed. Just another example of Yankee Ingenuity!!!!! Thanks guys. Mike,

See my picture #6. When I was negotiating to buy the tractor, I requested that the hooks be welded on. Dealer sent the tractor down the street to a welder's shop to get it done. When delivered, they were installed and painted green. Very handy.

When I calculated it yesterday I figured the amp output of my generator at about 20.8 at 240V continuous. The Lincoln and Hobart migs in the 175-185 range need right at about 20A at full power and A 225 Arc needs about 25 AMPs. It looks like the generator is limited to no more than a 185 Amp welder.

There are many different criteria that must be considered when properly sizing out a tractor. All previous postings take many aspects into account, except some very important ones:
1) 100 acres, Quite a distance from the nearest refridgerator for a cold drink. Sit on a few different size units and decide which will hold the most bottles conveniently, or, which unit may accomodate a small cooler the easiest.

2) How much time does your wife plan on using the tractor? Once she sees how much you enjoy it, she'll want to be on it - NOT you! Plan ahead, buy a large enough unit that your wife deems to be too big for her to use. Then you can spend all the time on it yourself, WITH her blessings!
