To denwood, When your Yanmar tech fills you in let me know what is going on. Good thing I can get this going myself because I can't get any JD techs to make house calls. Seem like they want just easy jobs back at the shop. These solenoid assys seem like a problem that JD needs to address. My tractor ran all day today. I'm back in business. Thanks

That is a minor concern with that few extra hours, but when you do the service over Christmas do things just as the book tells you, don't skimp with brand X fluids or filters, use the manufacturers brand. The 50 hr. service interval is probably the most important one of your tractors life, so follow the book to the letter, you'll be rewarded years down the road for what you do now. Frank.

I know this subject has been addressed before, but I am wondering if anyone has a good dealer that will offer prices lower than list and ship parts/accessories to me. I have tried for several years to deal with my local dealer, Deere Creek, now Atlantic Equipment and I just can't bear to spend anything with them unless desperate. Last week was the last straw. Other people I have talked to say the same thing. I have not spoken to the owner yet but when the poor service goes from sales to parts to service how can't he foster it. The owner has a monopoly and owns most local deere dealers. The other semi local dealer made it to this chat group, ABC Groff in New Holland. I knew it was him just from the heading "Deere dealer pushing New Holland". I've been there too.

Has anyone experienced a problem with the HST set-up on these tractors? The HST oil filter seems to be in a vulnerable position and exposed to damage as does the HST fan. I had an unfortunate experience today (Sunday)where a piece of vine got tangled on the drive shaft and destroyed all but 2 of the fins on the HST fan. The fan appears to be made of nylon,which is normally quite strong but by the time I heard the noise the blades were gone!<br>

Is anyone aware of an aftermarket protection shield or device to protect the filter and HST fan.

Does anyone know where I can get a diagram or picture of snow blower att. for a allis 416H garden tractor? I think I have to build a set of pulleys to make it work. I have a a/c blower but I think someone modifyed it to fit something else.

Yep, scam big time. They are mostly from Lagos, Nigerian but use various addresses. All you have to do is place a for sale item for say a tractor, etc and they start the e mail transaction. They want to send you more than its worth via a "agent" here that owes them money, then forward the remainder to them. Big scam and unfortunately people do get stung. Check this guys site out. He has a vendetta against the Nigerian scammers.

I recently found a url that you could place your BX2200 part number for a parts manual ($31.70), shop manual ($49.35). Unfortunately I did not bookmark the url and now can not find it. Does anyone know of such a place where you enter a part number for the BX and get pricing? Thanks

well lets just say that I use this thing for all its worth and if I was paying more attention to what I was not suposed to be driving over I would be fine.
but as far as smoking deere and mr-kuboto I had the bx23 and the smallest deere equivelent up on the range with my brother in law and my next door neibor and we put them through the test then swapped and we all agreed that the massey was the smoothest and had the most powerfull hydraulics. then with pricing the deere at almost $1700.00 more and mr-kuboto at $200.00 less and the kubota dealer is 10 minutes away we still chose the massey. it was kind of funny to see three tractors in the yard when I got home from work. wish I could have seen the drivers faces dropping them of.

I wish I had a magic answer for you , but I have had to resort to removing the cylinder head and driving it out with a big drift and hammer. This ruins the injector and the pre-combustion chamber cups in the process. The slide hammer idea works sometimes, but you are going to need longer than a six inch stroke. I use a OTC silver slapper slide hammer with a custom fabricated adapter to screw into the injector. This gives you a sixteen inch stroke with a five pound hammer weight. Soak it thoroughly with penetrating oil a couple of days ahead. If the engine is still runnable, You might run it and warm things up first to try and expand the cylinder head a little. I would not suggest using a torch to heat it for fear of warping the head. Good Luck!

So far I've never "HAD" to use it. But I do get it out a couple of times a year and run my welder with it when I have some serious rod to burn.

It is a good exercise for the gen and keeps all the do-dads tickled and excited in the thing.

The big rods and high amps will make the tractor grunt when the arc is struck and it smooths right out. I've watched the voltage meters with boy striking an arc and they do not even quiver.

ILIKE IT! IF I never have to use it it will be the best money spent.
