Will a L series Kubota or your 955 fit on this proposed trailer? Why not go with a car-hauler? Cheaper, more capable, usable for other things, will handle a TLB. If you take it easy, you truck will handle it. Width will not be an issue once you are used to it.

An option to Murf's suggestion would be a lower capacity motoring spool. The spool wouldn't open the flow as quickly if the ports were smaller. I think you would find you have a lot better control over your motor speed, and a smoother operation.

The capacity of the motor should also be balanced with the spool and the pump. The better all the component's flow capacities are balanced, the better your control will be.

Journal/Sentinel I think) which was about a guy who hand-built a Turbo-Diesel V-Twin air cooled motor for in a Harley-type custom cruiser motorcycle.<br>

Ooops. I did not read your post carefully. New 3130, used 3010.

These units use the same engine, the quietest diesel in this class I will bet. Weight diff is 500 lb!

I purchased a set of the Easy Change Links directly just before they got hooked up with Northern. I love them. Many of those small allen screws and their lock washers that hold the alignment "just perfect" have fallen out but it seems to work just fine without them.

They aren't perfect, but a great improvement in aligning to attachments when you don't have a nice smooth, level surface to store the attachments on.

I was going to try and order a few more of the special washers you see in the picture. If I have any luck, I'll post a new contact number.

Engine rebuilds always make for a few anxious moments.

I really don't know why the rods are supposed to go in one way or the other. Apparently, it didn't hurt anything when they were in backwards since it still sounded fine and ran fine, just smoked and used a lot of oil.

I'll be sure to post some before/after pics in the spring. If the mild weather holds out for a few more days, I'll do some plowing with it this fall and get started on the bodywork, too.

My suggestion is to start out slow and do a few jobs to get a feeling for project times so you don't underbid on your estimates. Don't quit your dayjob yet. Yes, Yuppies and Seniors in single family units and duplexes are my target areas. Seniors are so prompt with payment and generally nicest to deal with. I also give them price breaks.<br>

Basically, I string trim,blow debris off of landscaping, then mow with bagger and do a final blow off on sidewalks. I trim sidewalk edges with a string trimmer every other time and use an actual edger once or twice a year. I usually charge the same price although early spring has more growth. Mid-summer has less growth. Falls has leaves to deal with. When edging, I charge an extra amount as well as for trimming shrubs. Running an add in local papers will get you started in the late winter/early spring to get things going. Word of mouth helps to get a few more. Remember happy Customers!!! You will find that allot of people are doing this(more younger people). Seniors feel more comfortable with "older" people doing the work, they are more trusting and reliable. Develop a good relationship with your people as Hardwood has said. If you have a ladder cleaning eavestroughs is a good fall thing.<br>

I have called the dealer about having the neutral reset. They said that I would have bring the thing in that the trans has to be opened up to see what the problem is. The foot pedal shaft goes in the side of the trans it doesn't look like there is any adjustment or linkage. It just has a grease fitting....

Talk to a local dealer, red, green, blue or orange.

If they want your money they will find what you are looking for. Besides, they know all ther other dealers in the area, as well as what equipment people have. It is common for people to pass a comment to their dealer that a certain piece of equipment they have is not being used and they might want to sell it, or they are interested in buying something, but the dealer doesn't want to take his unused implements on trade. By putting the two people together he's a double winner, he got two sales and made two cutomers happy.

I would have to agree with that. The brake pedal on BX machines is in an awkward position (not that I have a better suggestion). However, in my experinece it has plenty of holding power. Of course, with a hydro you only need the brake to hold your position on a slope or set the parking brake. The hydro tredal takes care of everything else.

I ws thinking of putting some side rails on my Gators dump box. Nothing real tall, just to the height of the front section. Anyone seen something like this? If I make them myself, what would be the best thing to make them out of - wood or metal.<br>
They wouldn't be to hold in a lot of weight, just give me a little more on the sides to keep stuff from falling out.<br>

No Loader? I would say around $10,000. Is that a front mount blower? I believe you have what is called R-4 tires or Industrial<br>
tires. With just a loader they are around $13,000 here in Maine. Front mount blowers are twice as much as a rear mount.<br>

Thanks for the input guys. I guess if I go the Truck Stop route they owner / manager should know. Around here most of the gas stations are the cookie cutter brand names that are run like the mini-marts that they are. Except that new Sunoco down the street - just off the highway. He caters to truckers - even has parking spaces for them. Me thinks I will ask.

funny you should mention those rubber hoses breaking, as I was using my box blade tonight I lost about 2 gallons of fluid, the rubber hose going into the cooler split.

If these are just heater hose elbows should they be replaced with something different? Is there a better grade hose to use that won't be prone to crack so easily?
