A smoke house is quite easly to construct, the type will depend on if you want to cold smoke or hot smoke.I usually do a few hams and bacon slabs every year(hot smoke) The smoking part is not hard, but remember smoking is NOT curing,a 20 pound ham will take about thirty days to cure to get ready for smoking..Morton salt has agood book on curing and smoking if you are interested

I am by no means a professional electrician but I do most of my electrical work and then have it inspected.. When I got ready to install my transfer switch, I contacted my local electric co-op for information, they informed me they would gladly install the transfer switch for me at no charge, they said they prefer to do this because there are to many people who think they are electrical experts and end with a setup that has the potential to cause serious injury or death to one of their lineman...So maybe your best bet is to contact your local electrical company and ask them for advice

I hope you will reconsider the size of wire you intend to run # 12 wire at 5 amps the max distance is appx. 210 feet with a 3% voltage drop...For 270 feet you need to use #8 wire, this will carry 10 amps with a 3% voltage drop

I also like the tank heaters and you can mount them almost anywhere you want. I had the good fortune of testing mine out for the first time this morning at 2 degrees, brrrrrrr. after 1 hour I turned the ignition switch on and the temperature was warm enough to register, the engine block was warm to the touch
and I did not have to use the preheat at all

Brokenarrow, I will tell you what I would do, maybe one of the other guys has a idea you will like better. At the main breaker box i would install a double pole 20 amp breaker, at the garage I would install a sub panel..If you plan on burying theline 18 inches I would put the cable in, cover with nine inches of dirt and then lay in colored surveyors tape just in case you forget or someone else digs,and finish covering the line....good luck

Long does not manufacture tractor, they only inport them, I own a Long FarmTrac 60, that I purchased new in 1998, I have owned several different tractors and for the price I would rate the FarmTrac as an excellent buy.. I have not had any major problems so I have not had to purchase any parts but the local dealers assure me there is no problem getting parts, now I am refering to the FarmTrac 60.. The price for the Tractor you are purchasing seems a little high to me...

Before I would change anything I would find out where my hydraulic system gets it fluid, your filter looks like an oil filter and is probably on the side of your engine...Any Long dealer can provide you with the paticulars for your tractor
