2460 DTC Wont Start

I have 2460 would not start (cranks fine). Started it with starting fluid today mowed for 4 hrs ran perfect. Turned it off then would not restart. Suggestions?

Wish I could tell you what to do, there are several reasons it might not start but DO NOT use starting fluid. ....

Diesels need only fuel, air and compression to run but the starter has to spin them fast enough to generate initial heat and pre-heaters should work. Starter fluid can do serious damage. Compression releases on some engines have to be closed.

I'd start with the pre-heaters and electrical in this case (battery condition and clean the terminals and engine end of the ground). Then, I'd check for good fuel flow from the tank and delivery from the injectors. Then, check the valve clearances and a compression test if necessary. ....

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A FUEL PROBLEM.CHECK FUEL FILTERS FIRST.IHAD ONE WITH SAME PROBLEM AND I HAD TO REBUILD THE INJECTOR PUMP.DONT USE EITHER! THANKS BOB ....
