I read a good bit of this thread when it was on going and have reread a few pages this morning due to recent postings.
Noticed two things here, a few of those who were in the thread I do not see here any longer, miss them. Second was there every any conclusion reached in this issue? I have a friend who had a NH break I think the same, no idea if same model or not. casting as one said here needed to be cut and examined

Has there been any real report on this?

I am a new FEL owner. One of the issue I wonder about is cutting dirt down with the fel. How do you know what is safe and what is overloading the fel? If the fel is matched to the tractor by the manufacturer is it safe as long as slow steady speed is cutting the dirt to do so with the bucket?

Some things ARCWELDER mention here I want to echo from excavator and crane operation, always transport with load low. If the machine begins to tip towards the load, if the load is low it often will stop as soon as the load hits the ground but if very high the momentum will be enough to continue the tipping action. Also have been told if you hear the machine clanging that is not good operation.

Arc that is an option on the fel I have and to buy it now I think was over $300 maybe $371 might not be correct but if memory is anywhere near correct it was over $300. Bought new with fel was a good bit less.

Murf I think has the KISS concept on this but the idea of backup camera still have my thoughts IF there is a safe mounting location for the camera. That way could also see what is going on in the bucket while loading, hauling and dumping.

Did you look up the manual on Kubota's web site? If there was a lever in there at one time and removed there probably is sign of wear to some degree.

I do not know what the lift lever setup on that model Kubota is like but have two different models and have found you need to keep the levers and all their linkage and contact oiled for they tend to rust in place very quickly, like between use. No doubt part of that comes from using them to spread fertilizer maybe some other chemicals. I just spray with WD 40. Hope that solves your issue.

You got what I was asking for. Mechanic suggest going to lift pin that allows the use of the pins with the flip circle over the straight hair pin type. I thought about using the lift pin that allows that type of pin and using a key lock. Felt safest option I knew.

Depending on your comfort level of opening up the transmission you may find it an easy fix or not. If you are comfortable with doing so I would suggest a stop by the shop of dealership and see if they will give or sell you a parts diagram (you may find on one the internet also) but ask the shop manager if there is something to be alert to on this. Some will share a few words of advice and others will not give you the time of day. Just like any other business.

Just wondering, did this tractor come from about Greenville? There was a parts tractor on the internet that was just pulled off. Person was selling for a friend. Said it was a parts tractor.

Two thoughts here, you might be fortunate that if you were to take one of the injectors to a good shop they could match them for you. The other and I have no idea who this person is but found his name and phone number from a few years back as a possible parts source. Chip Urin at Artrac at 1-888-504-8980

Well it takes: fuel, compression and air for a diesel to run.

Quick suggestion: check the air intake and be sure it is clear and get a helper to spray wd 40 in short burst in the air intake as you crank the engine. If it will start and run while the wd40 is being sprayed but stops when you stop spraying it you have fuel issue.

Are you sure fuel it getting to the injectors? You may want to very slightly loosen the tube to the injector and cover with rag to see if fuel it getting there. If not then search for reason. Could be clogged filter, cut off system is not letting fuel through.

On the air check to be sure no pest nest in from the air intake to the filter. Should not be past the filter.

Trust nothing wrong with the engine to cause low compression or system out of time.

Could there be slack in the linkage or not properly adjusted that is not quickly moving the linkage so when it is moved while running you can see the delay but when it is cranked with linkage up there is no lag in the engagement?

Other thought is the steering possibly pulling power form the lift when it is running where as when cranking it would think you are not using the steering?

I have thought on your issue and have reread each of your post and still think it could be fuel issue. If electrical then the choke being pulled should have no effect. If air restriction it might. Look at the inline filter very carefully. You took it out to check the flow. It is possible there is trash in the carb or bad float even with rebuild.

How does it run before it cuts off? And it will crank right back up. One other thought, spark plugs. My in laws had a Ford 601 that could be very finicky at times and an old school mechanic work with the carb a good bit and found issue to be the plugs. Best I remember he said when an engine floods it can kill the plugs. I think the issue on that tractor was the carb would act up and not sure how or why but the plugs were affected. I would pull and check them to see if they show any problems. kt

Somethings make a lot of sense in crops to how they vary across this country but hay would seem to be about the same to me. Hay is a decent cash crop here and we have shipped to Texas two years or was it three ago with their drought. That followed drought here a few years earlier and hay shipped here from out west.

I am sure the hours will help you on price and also with that low of hours should have no damage which is also good. However know some with think something is wrong with that amount of hours on it. If I ran an ad on it would tell in the ad the hours are real and maybe why. I would do some work with the tractor as you have to be sure no leaks and all works fine. kt

So it was running when you replaced the starter and now it will turn over but not crank up and run, is that correct?

Does that starter have solenoid on the starter? I think it does and think you have wire connected wrong that supplies power to the coil if my memory is right, if memory is wrong no idea.

Do place a tracer wire in the there for your own need to find it later. Also while figuring the water line be sure it is large enough for the run and all needs. Also think will I need power where I am running this now or in near future and run conduit for that if possible. It sure is easier and less work if you can predict all needed in that trench now rather than another dig. Happy digging. kt

If any possibility of buried wires or water or gas lines do have the area checked before you dig there. I hit a underground power line a few weeks back doing some work for a son in law who was sure we were totally clear of it.

Well I did find picture of the setup on a boom mower I had used before. It is basically two third arms that run from the lift pins to the third arm pin on the tractor. There is a mount that mounts to the third arm pin on the tractor they connect to. When I first saw the mount I had concern it would break the 3rd arm mount on the tractor in just movement of the lift arms. If that setup is safe to the tractor housing then not hard to do. Any one had any experience with that setup? Again I did but it has been at least 5 years since used it.

Has anyone used linking from the fixed draw bar to the lift arm that rides up to keep it down? Problem with that is you have to remember the arm is restricted and not raise the lift past the limit you set.
