Mike, if you have a flat surface and a sufficent "C" clamp you can clamp the blade to that. I find that works better for me than the vise as my vice wants to hold it vertical and not flat, the angle I rather use the grinder. kt

Richie, not always true but most of the time the ratio between the bolt diameter and the size of the bolt head is kept. So if you can get a wrench onto another bolt to be sure of the head size you probably will find that size head gives you the diameter of bolt you need. Be sure to do check the depth as has been said. If not sure if fine or coarse theards then but one of each. Have you asked at local NH dealership parts counter? They probably know off the top of their head. If not local they may be willing to tell you if you explain how far away you are. At same time be sure you buy the correct grade of bolt. Doubt it is a common grade. kt

Another thought hit me, is it possible the noise is only when the engine is cold and you are not noticing it at the higher rpm as it warms up quicker there? or it may not be getting very warm at all at the rpm level you are hearing it at depending on the temp and what you are doing.

My small Kubota can rattle when it is cold and the temp is probably below 40. But it smooths out as it warms. kt

I have noticed the local city police has this on their cable channel in their public service part recently. Then over the weekend two 17 years olds were arrested for attempting to steal some heavy equipment.

At same time a lady who lives about 3 miles from me was cutting her grass this past Friday or Saturday with a riding lawn mower. Went in the house leaving lawn mower in yard and saw two people trying to steal it. Not sure what stopped them. Her yard is in plain view of major highway and is totally incircled by roads with fencing around all but the driveway. Only one way in and out. kt

Darren, if the tractor is large enough for your work and you have limbs and such you will be working around, you will be less sad when you damage the sheet metal than on a newer more costly machine. Rather not tell you know I know but I do know and even recently know. Right now have only one piece that needs replacing on fender, again. Well it was $60 two years ago, with oil going up how much has plastic? kt

EW, right now be glad you are not on the coast. Work is slow for some very much. But there are those who are still busy. Seems the smaller companies are busier than the bigger ones. Which I guess means the smaller jobs are going on but not the bigger ones. kt

Denver, is your's an water cool engine? We have a 4 x 2 and it is air cooled. I think they use a water cool engine on the bigger gators (yours). kt

I would find a manual. They can be real helpful.
Looking at Agco's web page failed to find specs on this model. But the models that seem to follow it show a mechanical and electical hyd as option. They would place a decal and it probably means you are not seeing it. Which makes me think you will find it is a small lever to the right rear of your seat. If it were the mechanical lever, would think you would find it. Have not sat on an Agco product built in last 15 years but have seen pto levers on the left side of the transmission and think even one on top of it. If you are not use to PTO use, be sure you depress the clutch when engaging and disengage if you have the mech type and slowing engage as with any manual gear. If you have the hyd type, the manuals I have read say to engage it slowly also. Hope you enjoy the tractor safely. kt

Salt is not a problem here but the trash that is in the road ditch and even mixed in the dirt is. Been there, matter of fact 5 years later still cleaning it up each time dirt is turned. kt

You would be amazed how popular they are here. Some for the winter and some for the summer heat. When you get to 100 hp up tractors many are cab tractors.

Sometimes I disk fields at night. It is such at great place of worship with the sky overhead and listening to God critters ever over the tractors engine or just watching them as the headlights catch them now and then.

Then I get in the field on a hot sunny day of about 100 degrees with not a cloud in the sky and think, boy air sure would be nice. kt
