I think by now you realize it will depend on your own case. I have mowed my lawn wiht a 6,000 lb tractor with water in rear tires and ag tires. Litle bit of mark made that in day or so gone.

I have used 2,000 lb with no water and ind tires and no marks on same yard.

I have used Z turn with turf on same with some sign left to no sign left.

For my use, the tires that cause the most problem are the front tires as you turn as they want to dig in. As to my experience, I did fine with all. That covers from wet heavy dirt to medium sandy loam.

One thing I found for myself regardless of the tire, if wet and soft, slow down. Speed damages.

In reading your two replies it is very obvious your wife is a very fine and crafty lady. She likes...but allows you to get...for yourself? She is very smooth.... LOL

It would be real funny except, most of us happy married men have been there and done that and never realized she wanted the TV or tractor.

Then there is the real probability we each very much realized and we realized we do care and love... Sadly I remember someone posting here just about 6 weeks ago how his wife had passed very sudden. Let us laugh, kid, hug and kiss and be sure they know we love them. (same for children)

Boy something that started out just kidding you sure turned real.

I sat in a divorce hearing about 2 weeks ago. It was sad to hear how little time was spent there to end a marriage where there are two children age 10 and 8 who will now seldom see their Daddy and or family when attention to each other by the husband and wife was all that was needed. Sure made me appreciate what I am blessed with.

Don't forget Mothers Day is soon. Now doesn't she want that sports car? I thought so!

I don't have a Cat 0 tractor of equipment. So I may be way off. Most tractors has same Cat Pins at all three points, each lift arm and top link. Some Cat 2 will have a Cat 1 connection at tractor and Cat 2 on the implement end.

If his tractor is Cat 0 and the subsoiler has Cat 1 pins, how does he connect it to the lift arms? If it has Cat 0 lift pins are they not bending from the pulling action if the top link or third arm (as most call it here) would be?

I don't have the sizes right off but as the Cat number increases the size or diameter of the pins increase.

Probably not just what you want to hear but read the last book of the Bible. It says Russia and China (has to be them for the direction is from the North and East and they are the only nations with the population to suit) will attack Israel. I would have to look but I think the path is either through Iran or Iraq and right off I don't remember which.

There are those who believe Iran is baiting a trap to try and draw us in, and give a reason to Russia and/or China to attack.

This any wise person should realize, it is serious.

How do you know all tubes in the radiator are clear? I only know of two methods to know, take off the top or use a temp sensor for uniform temp across the radiator. If there is another method I really would like to know.

My brother had a tractor we went a lot of the routes you are going and it turned out to be the radiator. You could pull the lower hose off and it ran out very quickly. Just the core was clogged! It was a Massey of about same age as your Kubota. By the way, the best coolant system cleaner we could buy did not help.

Your experience reminds me of first use on a Case tractor a few years ago.
First bush hogged my pines, one oil filter and refill. Good it blew oil where I could see it to shut down engine quickly.
Second bush hogging job there bent left step. Straighten and back to work, there did go right step.
Thrid bush hogging job there went hole in left rear tire.

By then I believed the hardest work you can do to a tractor is with a bush hog. As Ken said walk the property if you can not see safely. Watch for holes also. I think we think our tractors are built like logging machines, they are not.

You may wish to check with Agri Supply on Gator Blades. I don't find Agri Supply beat very often on price. Do realize they sell a lot of parts that are not orginial but they tell you that. They do ship. They do stand behind their products great.

Well here is where this American is: we have two Mexican owned resturants in town. I like their food. But I love my country. I can give up buying their food until we get illegals issue handled. If we would back away from all Mexican owned business for one week, why not one month no doubt they would understand that. Hey, why not until they are legal.

I was talking with the owner of a pizza rest. today on profit margins. It is much less than a nonbusiness owner believes. If they loss 10% of gross sales most business are in trouble.

In this land we each get to vote, ever year or two in elections but daily with our money. The money has a bigger impact.

First, you almost killed me with your ranting above.

I had a step father who was depression era. Could teach you about saving anything. He had a gas tiller (not one for tractor but garden type that box store sells). The tines on it were mostly straight. Well when they wore down he slipped a piece of galvanized pipe over them (I think that is what he used) there were. They worked fine for him.

When you get the tine make down let me know. I need some points for a subsoiler I am having to trade out shanks on due to not being able to find points for it any longer.

I have never seen them in my part of the world but there are farm tractors with a front 3pt hitch. Look on the big tractor web sites and you will find them pushing plows and pulling plows or disk or such. I realize that is not exactly what you are talking about but offers some of the same benefits.

I have a friend, who grew up in Pittsburgb, said he would pick, dig or something the dandelions for their salads. They thought of them as a treat. It has been said the best way to get rid of a weed is develop it as a crop...so maybe if dandelions were to find out they are good to eat they would become hard to grow.

As to watering the lawn, when me built a few years ago I was asked over and over about the system I was putting it to water my lawn. When I said garden hose and then only until roots get established. I will not lie to the grass or shrubs they will not be watered. To which the professional lawn/shurbery person told me they use to grow like that if if you don't get them us to it they will now. And he was/is correct.

I am with you. It may prove the leaded gas was not as dangerous as those who pass the laws and those who enforce it and so forth.

A mouth full of gas did not taste as bad as some of their better ideas do.

Sometimes a certain product has more of a certain type of problem than does other products for that company due to the typical person who buys or uses that product.

I wonder if the model line you have could have more problems due to the typical owner/user rather than the guages or switches being different.

Could be more of this model line just wash their tractors more often or in greater detail compared to the bigger models for any number of reasons. Could it be the height they are at makes it easier to spray water into switches or such. Could it be since it is smaller it takes less time to wash it and thus more time is spent washing the dash.

Comparing my two one a B and the other a M, the B will get washed more often and due to height I must watch the angle it is sprayed.

If you don't want to change the lift, just drive into uncut grass.

I do congratulate you for moving those rocks and big limbs. Wait, are there limbs too big for a bush hog?

I live in South Carolina. I have planted Centipede, Zoysia and St Augustine. In the yard with the zoysia both sodded and planted zoysia, used sod where run off would be a problem and seeded elsewhere (well much of it). Both did well. If I did not need to worry abour water run off, I would only seed.

The zoysia sod did well my yard but in rented yard and my in laws where it was not watered almost daily for weeks about 98% died. Those two yards were St. Augustine and Centipede.

They have a new seeding method here a good friend of mine used where the seeds are coated that did real well for him with bermuda and he water it twice a day on his sand hill. Funny, guess how the new sod farms are planting, using that same method.
