My perferred way is: bucket on ground (warm garage) jack under drawbar, drap over tires hook at back. Run a while and retighten.

Out doors drap over tires drive forward hook at back drive and retighten.

It was lots of coolant. Assumed it might be a internal crack, Brother had already checked head gasket. Did not know if engine had sleeves...<br>

It has wet sleeves. The top o-ring on #1 was completely deteriated. The 2nd o-ring was tuff shape. Leak is there.<br>

Pulled #1 and #2 pistons and sleeves just to make sure no crack between cylinders.<br>
<br>
#1 piston is scored pretty badly sleeve looks ok enough just to hone. New piston and rings needed.<br>

He has a IT manual it leaves alot to be desired but it is a ok reference.<br>

The only thing I thought of was Dennis was gonna put a date in instead of the tractors and I knew my renewal is sometime in Feb. How I made that leap is still beyond me.

We are getting there. A couple of days ago a NYS Trooper, Commercial Vehicle Unit, aka: Creeper Cop, grabbed a little Ranger pick up with plywood sides loaded waaaayyy above the cab with scrap steel, matteress springs, water heaters etc. The rear bumper was less than 12" from the road.

The P/U sat in a parking area for 3 days while the owner found someone to help him reduce the weight.

Another example of the Troopers trying to make our roads safer.

I do not believe you will find a formula for 1 size fits all compaction. (I could be wrong but do not think so)!

Clays, Gravels, loams will all compact differently based on their compsition.

Tire manfactures do publish comparisons between their different tires and the traction pulling capibilities. I recall several articles of bias vs. radials.

You will have to search for this stuff because I can not remember where.

KT if it was just my land you would be correct. My oldest has 15 acres of all wood. I am surounded by state land and that is $15 per standard cord. If I get that and have the time. I also barter (not really. I buy the Logs incase the IRS reads this) ;-) logs with another neighbor.

Bought that old spreader (it came full of compost) at a auction for $35.00

The 2 local farmers where I hunt Coyotes and woodchucks have over 1500 acres. Of course the field stone they have is the other reason for dump.

I have a trout stream in my back yard and I'd like to install some gabion baskets along a couple bends. Just so happen to have some baskets at work that are bent and the state would not let them be used. I say waste not. My boss (one of the owners) will let me have them.

If they are 1 piece rims simply move the wheels and tires to the oppsite side of tractor. It will give you a couple more inches of clearance.

Flashing is best left to dirty ol men in trench coats.

SORRY Couldn't resist.

Flashing is to restore the polarity in the fields. I have instructions on how to flash my gen set.

The concern I have about posting is: your circuity is or may be different the recifiers would not handle the wrong connection.

If you want to try it email me; harvey "at" odyssey "dot" net Put FLASH GENERATOR in the subject line, I'll watch my spam folder for a couple of days and I'll send you how mine is done.

You will have to proceed at your own risk.

Best option is call a Gen repair shop to flash it. plus they can fix any other problems that might be present.

Mine has been torn for years. I keep it greased and the extra grease will catch dirt and crap.

The seals are there for people that tend to use extended service intervals.

You will probably never have a failure if you stay on top of your greasing. And you do not use high pressure to wash that area.

I do not think you can just buy a new rubber boot.

I'll add to the I've neverheard of a broken weld. The welds on my 48 are some of the cleanest I've seen.

Yup I know most are done in a jig by machine.

QC could have had a bad day.

I also prefer the way Green mounts on Green. 3PH backhoes are not the way to go if you need to do serious digging. But that is my opinon based on using both types.

I just got back from out there. Went up to Clearbrook, MN to pick up a piece of equipment and stopped in Mequon, WI for a crusher part.

I would not live in suburbia for all the money... out in the country many nice old farm steds. All kinds of old farm treasures in hedge rows. Great looking country, great people, they still wave when you drive by. I did go up to Richfield, WI that is also nice looking country.

I guess it depends on how far you are willing to comute.

4-5pm Milwaukee was a struggle in traffic. 6-7:30 pm the road into and out of Chicago was bumper to bumper 15 MPH. Now I know why IL has such strong anti gun laws. People would simply shoot themselves rather than fight that traffic every day.

That is a good idea using a gen on the heavy use stuff.

When I need to burn some serious welding rod I also drag out the gen. 5/32 rod tends to get the attention of the electric bill. It just barely makes the 4400 grunt when arc is struck.

Also it is good exercise for the gen and keeps all the polarity and rectifies doin what they are spota do when they need to do it.

At work we have a small generator that will run single or 3 phase. (Don't ask me how Kernal Kill-a-watt does it. He is a magican with electric, probably illegal anyway). It has muscle enough to run about 40/50 HP worth of motors but will only start 1 at a time. A loaded 10hp 3phase motor will really make the engine work. (Sounds like a tractor on a silage blower whith a big wad).

Using in the field enviroment you will like the ags much better.

Industrials are more for hard packed type surfaces and tend to slip/spin more on soft or wet field use.
