Before Ford had a diesel for their pickup's a friend of mine bought a new Ford conversion van, an E-250, I think. They loved the room, the ride, towing capacity, and all that but the thing drank gas like a fish.
He had a "Friend" who convinced him to let him take the gas engine out an install a diesel, sounded great, yep do the business. WRONG!!!
I don't remember what kind of a diesel engine it was, but everything kinda went to SXXX. Spent a ton having a conversion bell housing made, custom engine mounts, none of the accessory drives,( alternator, AC pump, radiator fan ) lined up. The Ford tranny shifted at the worng points, rear end gearing was wrong., on and on. The freinship was strained to say the least and the van got parked under a tree. Frank.

I worked for a road construction company the year I got out of high school driving an International Harvester "Binder" tandem dump truck with a six cylinder gas and a two stick transmission setup that took both hands and a good limber clutch leg to keep it going. The boss used to say that if he met you on the road and both hands were on the wheel then you weren't driving the thing correctly.

Tell us more about your 8hp. vacuum. That is something the Mrs. doesn't have YET, so it must not be a John Deere.
I'm having a ball again with the "Gator" blades on the mower seeing how far I can make walnuts fly from under the mowser deck. I am easily entertained.

Check your owners manual. Some 4XXX models have self priming injector pumps, some dont. You may need to bleed the system, it will tell you how. Frank.

Deere has had wet brakes since they left the two cylinder series. I had a 4010 built in 62 or 63 with the wet brakes, I traded it off in about 1976 without ever having to go "Inside" to service anything. They did however have a rubber grommet on the plunger of the activating valves below the brake pedals that would go bad routinely, that would let dust and water in to hurry the wear on the external valve.

I don't have a tech manual for a 620i, nor have I had to be in one yet, but are the other fluids of the machine normal, coolant, transaxle fluid. Seems if the contamination is of that amount the other fluids whould have gone dry if there is a way they can intermix from a bad gasket, etc.
Being you have the old oil in a Gatorade bottle does it seperate out after sitting overnight? Does the old oil smell of gas? Frank.

On the other end of the scale, I once owned a gasoline powered combine with a 90 HP engine that used a gallon of gas every eight minutes under full load.

I tried again today and bingo tons of stuff.

Rather than all the hydrogen, coal, diesel, atomic, etc. maybe just build a big hill at each end of the track. Gravity gets it going on one end and gravity stops it on the other end. Probably too simple for our high tech world.

If you found such a thing it would have to be adjustable from machine to machine. One impliment would require more or less torque to reach the point of the slip clutch needing to slip to protect it.

Rather than me giving a shot in the dark answer about like dispacement engines being capable of like output being 2 or 4 stroke, somewhere some must have a rule of thumb chart about that.
My GUESS is that a four would be roughly half as capable, but not sure.

So many different models of Deere mowers that a general answer is about impossible. Perhaps someone here has a 445 that can walk you thru it.
Did you get an owners manual with the tractor? That would likely have the how to on mounting and dismounting the mower deck, the blade probably came with an owners manual for it alone.
If you didn't get the manuals a Deere dealer can get them for you, money well spent.

Dennis' Gross per acre would be a wild guess at best.
His yield per acre can vary from zero to 200-225 bu. per acre depending on all the factors I metioned earlier. The market price for corn delivered to the local elevator here today is about 3.20 per bu., but that changes almost daily.
So his gross per acre couild be as much as 700.00. Fourteen grand, that's a pretty good income from twenty acres. But now the reality sets in, input costs,on and on, and you are about a hundred fifty to two hundred dollars below the gross per acre. Now we haven't even talked about power and machine cost,land cost, etc. Even with everything going right it will be close to a break even year for many, usually they ride it out waiting for a better market and good yield next year. Eternal optimists, we are called.
Being the poster has lots of experience with vegatable crops that may be a better option if a market can be had for his products.

Having read EW's comment about Grainger I was shuffling thru yesterdays mail and found a 25% discount card from them complete with customer code and program code good on electrical and heating parts. They do have about everthing you can think of but have always been about that much higher than anyone else around here.
EW, they may even have parts for a "ROOL-OMATIC", better check.

Mine does the same with a 430 loader on the 4310. I just kind of got used to it and don't really pay attention to it anymore. After a few cycles it seems to work the air out if it really is air, and don't bother.

If you follow the owners manual with any tractor, use the filters and fluids they recommend and just keep a watch on air filters, fluid levels, etc., there won't be enough wear at 200 hous to even measure. Kinda like the ten thousand mile mark on a new car, it's still new.

The brake lock needs to be on before the PTO will operate if no body is on the seat also.

Something else you might consider is timothy. It can be fall seeded with a cover crop such as rye. It needs to be sown seperate from the cover crop after the has been sown to prevent it from being seeded too deep.
Most any Farm feed and seed elevator has open bags to sell small quanitys from, it is not a very expensive seed compared to lawn grass, alfalfa, clover, etc. I usually seed some with oats or rye in waterways, it seems to tolerate wet soils better than a legume.
Google "Timothy Seed", lots of info there.
