The stabilizer cylinders will sag on my #48, but can't tell you about the boom, I always either put the safety pin in for transport or rest the bucket on the ground when if park it. Some cylinders on any equipment seem to leak back a bit or else the control valves leak a bit, unless they get real bad it isn't much of a concern. Frank.

Crunch; I didn't get the Gator blades till mid June so the stick chopping was done with the regular blades. I'll use the mower with the Gators for the leaves this fall and next spring for the sticks, then I'll see the difference you saw. Frank.

Sounds like you are getting fuel, but just not enough. Is there a seddiment bulb under the fuel tank that could have the screen plugged? Frank.

Broken; There is probably a website somewherer that would tell you the horsepower ratings of the two lobe and three lobe shafts. If the KK comes with a three lobe shaft I wouldn't try running it with a two lobe one. Even the slightest twist or bend in one of those makes it junkyard bound. I'd have to go out to look to tell which it is, but some machine have has a standard six spline shaft on the gearbox the same as the tractor shaft. That really makes it handy to grease the "U" joint to just pull it off the gearbox and lay it across something for inspection and greaseing. Frank.

I'm not sure about a 755, but on Deere ag. tractors they have kinda their own threads. They aren't tapered, the threads themselves provide no seal but the "O" ring between the two joined fittings makes the seal. Frank.

Keeping the two halves of the PTO shaft lubed so they can slide freely when a three point implement is lifted or a turn is made with a pull type machine is probably as important to watch as the universals. When those things get sticky from dirt and chaff or whatever they can be really hard to pull apart, that has to put a lot of strain on the universals and the bearings of the PTO shaft in the tractor and the gearbox bearings on the machine end. I try to watch them and when they get gummed up I pull them apart and clean them up with some diesel fuel and an old paint brush, greas them up good and put them back together. it's a messy job, but I think pretty importsant. JT; I know very little about MF compacts, but likely they buy their hydro units from the same source as many other brands. Someone here likely will know what they use and can tell you something about them. The only advice I will add is to be sure there are MF dealers within a reasonable distance should you buy the tractor. Frank.

I like Yoper's idea. Yes get rid of the tire fluid, I know iron is pricey, but a leaky tire with fluid you you just don't want. There are tons of nice used mowers on the lots. This time of year I think a dealer would be a bit negocable rather than carry them till spring.
Wow, a 200ft. cliff, that is a LONG ways down. Don't think I'd be mowing in the dark. Frank.

There has to be a way to get those broken bolts out as replacing the center setion of the tractor is going to be an expensive affair. With the broken drill bits and eaysouts broken off in the bolts things are tough, is there a way to get to the top ends of the broken bolts from inside the center section? I know it's too late in your situation but always use a left hand drill bit to drill out broken right hand thread bolts, you'll never need the easyouts, the shell of the bolt will come out with the bit without damaging the threads in the casting. GG; When I bought the MX5 cutter the Deere dealer where I do my business had not yet become a Landpride dealer so I never had the two side by side to make any comparisons. I just checked the Landpride website and it looks to me like a model RCR 1860 would be a comparable unit to the MX5. The MX5 has been trouble free and with a little car wax it would be hard to tell from new. My first piece of Landpride was my three blade rear mount finish mower, that purchase impressed me enough that I just don't shop around anymore, when I need a piece of equipment I just go get a Landpride and have never been dissapointed. I've never looked at a 4105, so I don't know anything about them, but surely someone here has so perhaps they can tell you something about them. Frank.

Jeffery; Sorry to hear of your misfortune, yes notify Kubota and I'm sure there is an association of consignment auction firms that you may want to get the serial numbers to also. The local Deere dealer had a new compact stolen off the lot a few years ago, it was found when the "Owner" took it in for service. This guy claimed he did'nt know it was stolen, and maybe he really didn't, he got to keep the tractor after he paid for it a second time. good luck in your search. Frank.

Lloyd; I've did what you are looking at with an ordinary three Pt. landscape rake but the big stuff has to be gone first it won't handle big burly brush just the smaller two inch or smaller dia. branches. It works pretty well at sorting the stones and letting the soil thru between the tines but it has to be dry soil, in the mud it won't work. Something I lerarend real fast, don't pull up a biggger pile than the landscape rake will clear when you want to drop the pile and drive forward. If you have a regular front loader they work good a pushing brush up in a pile but, BE REAL CAREFULL, Brush has a habit of letting branch swing loose and hitting you when you're pushing it with a loader. JOHNWTHOMAS; Individual wheel brakes just like the ones on your Kubota are an important turning aid on farm tractors. On most modern farm tractors that are equiped with a front wheel assist the front wheel assist automaticly disengages the instant you touch either wheel brake, then will automaticly reengage soon as you take your foot of the brake pedal. Using the wheel brake to aid in turning on row ends without the front wheel assist just works better, that is why I'd be lost without the wheel brakes even on my little Deere.
Joel; I've driven past the dealership I mentioned in SE Minnesoata many times on a weekday when they were open but never stopped in. I would like to teat drive a Kubota or a Ford/NH with the hydro pedal/wheel brake setup we have been discussing just to se how it works, but I just won't waste a dealer's time demonstrating something to me that I'm not going to buy anyhow, that's not fair to them. As I said to John,I would be totally lost without using the brakes as a turning aid, just somethiong I've been used to since a kid. I often think about how fortunate we are to live in a country where we can differ on the chioce of something as simple as the transmission of a little tractor let alone major political opinions without some government agency telling us that we cannot have a chioce. Spark plugs are kind of am amazing thing in that they now go almost forever in a car or pickup without replacement. last time I replaced plugs was in a Venture van with about a hundred thousand miles. Back before EW was born the gas stations used to have samdblasters that cleaned plugs, one of those would probably be an antique now. Frank.

Peter; I'd find the nearest Kubota or Deere deareship that you are comfortable with. They will know the local conditions and can better advise you on what size you need based on what type of haying an tillage work you waht to do. With all the buyouts, takeovers, and whatever else may be happening in the world of big business lets hope that Kubota and Deere will be around for the long haul to provide the service and repaire we will need. I would be real cautious about buying an import of some kind who's dealers may be here today and gone tomorrow leaving you with a parts orphan not to mention the resale value, both Kubota and Deere will hold the value real well. You mentioned wanting to get a backhoe for your tractor, both Kubota and Deere build a backhoe attachment for their tractors that has a good solid mount system that is quick and easy to mount and dismount. KT; OK, I understand now, you meant to give the spray lube a try on the cable. Yes, that is worth a try but likely not a permanent fix. My comment comes from the experience of having owned several "70" series Case farm tractors that controled the throttle, power shift, PTO, and I think the gear transmission too all with cables between the levers in the cab and whatever they controlled on the other end of the cable. They had a tight fitting rubber gasket seal on each end that the cable its'self sid thru insude of the cable jacket. Those seals would get worn from use letting dirt and water in, soon as that happened it was kinda overwith, some WD-40 helped a bit but not for long it just attracted more dust making the situation terminal. Chaning one of those wasn't a walk in the park either, especially the cab end. Frank.

If your building isn't too big a window air conditioner might solve your problem and give you some hot weather relief to boot. Usually a good used one can be found on a garage sale for about nothing, they seem to never wear out. Frank.
