How are loose pins on a backhoe repaired? Do they machine and sleeve the worn holes or install oversize pins? Are oversized pins a standard repair item? I don't plan on doing this myself but I'd like to know how it's done.

So far so good. It starts and runs like a topm and has done everything I have asked of it so far. I wish I had the fel at my house as well as my camp. What a back saver!

Hey Vince, you appear to be on the money. Midwest equipment appears to be exactly like my implements and I am able to download manuals at there sight. I'll still ask the dealer but I think the Midwest manuals will do. Thanks again. Burt

I looked at the JD site and my tiller looks just like the Frontier models - only orange. The manufacture date is 2001 and it bears the designation: Tipo: Zappatrice. It is also stamped Kg: 195. Assuming this is the weight, it would seem to match the JD RT1250. Any further suggestions in tracking down the correct model?

At home on the yard it's definitely the LAWN tractor but I know that on the woodlot the wheel horse doesn't have the clearance, 3ph, etc. When I bought the camp, I knew the wheel horse couldn't do what I wanted, so thus came the kioti. But coyotes are more wild animals anyway aren't they/ :)

I've order a ck20 after I gave it a test drive at the dealer. The hst was very smooth and you get the feel of it quickly. Fel was also smooth once I got used to the joystick control instead of the two levels I was used to. My guess is that like any machine, once you drive it a while the man and the machine sort of blend so you become very comfortable. On the test I used the fel to "relocate a coouple of big snow piles and felt comfortable quite quickly.

By the way, how about posting some pictures of the handmade attachments you've made. Would be intersting to see.

I hope someone out there has a solution. I put in new cement slab sideways last spring. With all of this years snow, I had to apply salt quite a bit so that no one would fall on the ice that built up. Now I find that the surface of several sections are literally eaten up by the salt and is etched, pitted and worn down way more than normal wear. As I don't expect hext year to be ny better and the need for side walk salt will continue, I will need to do something with the sideway surface to cut back on salt damage or I'll be totally redoing the job all too soon. Do any of you know of a resin sealer or other product to apply to the sideway surface to seal out the salt effect? Or do you have other ideas? Thanks in advance.<br>

I am surprised that I don't see seights & chains for the snowblowing chores or did you just not have time to get a pix of the tractor with the chains on. We sure didn't have any timely breaks from moving snow here 20 miles north of Syracuse, NY. I still have 3 feet of compacted snow in the front yard and 5 more inches forecasted for the next 24 hours. Oh well, I'll enjoy spring that much more whenever it arrives. :)

Tom, Thanks for the reply. All good points to remember even if I've had a little experience. Loved driving our 9N as a kid. It was more my size! Am real excited about getting on the ole tractor seat again. I guess it gets in your blood and never leaves. Feels as good as when I decided to never milk another cow. LOL

Bliz, I remember it well. I was trapped indoors for 3 days tht storm. Car was totally buried.
Tough part for us this year was the fact that we never got any thaws so it just kept piling up.

you're just a little upstate. Get north ot the thruway before you really say UPSTATE. Us NYers north of Syracuse still have 4 feet of snow on the front lawn and we still got lots left on our roofs even after shoveling them off a short time ago. Can anyone spell Lake effect? LOL
