Im stating that the bolts did not turn. Ive got alot of hours on this rig, Ive owned it for 11 years. What im saying is there enough slop between the frame and the engine to start an elongation process that loosens the bolts because the frame chafes elongates etc.and metal disappears. All my bolts were tabed. Ive got holes in the front frame bolts that have close to 1/8" clearance clean around the bolt. I put the reinforcement on in 2000 I built more of those (2) locking tabs for the fron bolts also, because I got tired of finding them loose.

Mine was so stiff it bent the handle. i tore into it about 5 years ago the linkage that needs to be loosend and lubed is on the left side under the pto handles. Take that side apart and start moving the handle and you will see where to loosen. Mine goes up and down with the push of a finger.

Chief; as for the kit from Genos I bought a kit right from Vulcan it is 1/2" line clean to the vp44, the genos kit only uses 3/8 to the fuel filter

I know my pumpm had stuck open, I had been using on road fuel. I now add diesel treatment in hopes that this is lubricating the pump

Yes it will! One strand of white ribbon tape 32" off the ground. The US gov gave me the tape and the charger to fence off my 4 acres. Then the Gov came along three years later and wanted me to buy the equipment. And I did.

When my linkage started to stick on my 7274 (1996)I had actually bent the hitch lifting handle, I bent that back. To resolve the sticking problem I removed the pannels on both sides of the seat. On the left side of the seat is where I found the sticking problem, You will see how the linkage shaft comes out the on the left side (opposite of the lifting hadle side) Loosten up the linkage and lubricate and re-adjust, and has worked great ever since.

Is there an adjustment on the switch. I pulled the two wires off the switch about two years ago and connected them together, I know I defeated the system But I dont hear anymore selenoid clicking, just the starter turning over.

With what your towing I think it boils down to fuel mileage I have the 410 w/the HO cummins I get 18 mpg hwy 16.9 around town. 13 with my 26'5whler and the same hauling my tractor 27 hp Cub I wish I had the 3.73

I have a cadplan backhoe and for the amount of money I have in it, I feel it works great. Its small #608 (could be wrong with the number) but as a landscaper I can dig holes to plant trees.

Have you changed the fuel filter and cleaned the bowl also while doing this look for water condensation I would change fuel filters and add some time of fuel additive.

Good evening chief, I dont have any experience with those, but my 10 year old daughter has been carrying a 223 youth rifle in Maine this hunting season and she is shooting a winchester 223 64 GR. power point. Her rifle does not shoot them good, fact is the hole is oblong at 50yds. However the goup is 3" at that distance. I measured the twist on her rifle and it is 1 in 13 not good for heavy bullets. I must admit we had alot of fun with this rifle prior to hunting season with bullets in the 50 gr. range, as far as target practice go.

Anyone have experience with these cartridges

I got my tractor back last night 527.00 for the injector pump to be rebuilt. 3 hrs from the dealer for his mechanics time. The pump was a total rebuild. The rack had stuck in the open position and the selenoid could not pull it back. However when I did shut the fuel valve off, The lack of fuel some how pulled it to the closed position. I guess it was just worn out and was sticking. Im greatfull it happened at home, home is where I rarely use my tractor.

Larry: I dont recall the size of the bolt You can always pull out another one and take it to a fastner supply, which I recommend in order to get the proper Grade. The dealer charges alot for bolts.

There was a web page of some person who had done alot of tests on filters and it was posted at this site and the bottom line was that there was no difference between silver and gold napa. My Napa dealer states that the paper element in the gold is a little thicker. I believe they are both made by wix I hope that Napa silver is not fram.

I have looked for these Cub filters for seven years I tried a mitsubishi truck dealer once and he could not find the hydro or the air in his book.

However I do work my 27 hp cub commercially so I just chalk it up to the cost of business and buy the filters, except for the oil which I buy from Napa.

I cut grass for a living with a walker 42inch ghs both commercial and residential. The walker corporation sends out a quarterly magazine. In september they sent each commercial walker owner survey to determine how people charge and how much. In december the servey said" the average price in the usa is 39 per hour overall for all equipment in the use of triming blowing cutting etc. The highest price was 100 the lowest was 25 Here in southern maine my average is 30.00

I purchased a Cub 1650 2 years ago and it had a Hastings 142a filter on it. It may not be the correct one but it seems to work okay although I haven't used it much.

Used one for two years on a 27 hp Cub Bought used for $1400.00 Sold for $1650.00. Would work ok for around the farm a well built chipper. Brush, and apple limbs are hard to push through, must keep your knifes sharp

I traded up fro a dc65 w/powerfeed its a great machine and I feel I have plenty of power.

The implements I have for my 4600 are:
6' disk
6' straight blade
7' bush hog
6' box blade

I put a 35 gallon water tank on the disk, to make it weigh about 900 lbs. I can lower it to its deepest position (about 6" disking depth) and pull it just fine with the 4600(even through muddy spots). It handles all of those implements well. I have 210 hours on it, and the hydraulic control valve was replaced because it wouldn't 'float' properly. That is the only problem I have had. If you get the powereverser, I DEFINATELY recommend the creeper option.

The dealers around here (eastern NC) have lots of 4000 series tractors in stock...and my 4600 was CHEAPER than a K. 4310.
