Does any one know what the Hinomoto model number is that's equivalent to a MF205-4? I am having issues with the front wheel drive also and looking for parts.

I have not taken anything apart yet, the pitman arm on the outside does not move. It does sound like maybe the connection inside like a pin etc. could be broken. I may have time to pull it out tomorrow.
Just take off external coverings etc. then the four bolts on the cover going into the case?? Will that let me see if the connection is good inside?

It is not the chicklet. DO NOT replace the fuel control solenoid.

It is a design flaw in the solenoid. Here is what happens:
You get your tractor all warmed up, and the engine oil fills the solenoid. You shut the engine down and when you try to restart it...the oil inside the solenoid prevents the rod from retracting properly. So you get out your 10mm wrench and snatch the solenoid, manually pus it in, and viola..you are in business.

If that is your problem, I have a solution for you. There are 3 wires feeding the solenoid. The black on is the ground, the red one is the "hold in" and the white one is the "pull in". Skin the white one enough that you can connect a piece of insulated wire to it. I used red wire because that's what I had handy. When the tractor is hot and it is playing the "I aint gonna start game" take your jumper wire and briefly GROUND it out. Don't worry it won't shock you or anything...but for whatever reason, grounding the wire seems to make the "pull in" circuit pull in again. I dunno why because it seemed to me that you would have to touch it to the positive battery terminal to accomplish this. I tried that and it did not work, but grounding it does. I promise!

Even my dealer's parts man had to laugh:

The wheel assembly (#10 in the parts photo) is NLA.
But suprisingly one may purchase the rim for $241, the inner wheel that the rim attaches to is another $220 and then all of the bolts and don't forget the valve stem as it is sold seperately too.....

YUP...about $600 something or odd bucks per wheel. That doesn't include the tire.

I'm sorry but a 10" X 24" steel wheel should not be priced that way in earnest.

Ergo I seek somebody who wants my rear turf tires and wheels.

your first question should be who did the work if it was done here then yeah its ok under power for a bucket i own a 1500 if it was rebuilt over seas run away screaming they rebuild by taking other broken tractors and build one so all the parts are used. i deal with a dealer who rebulds them and sells them as new with a warrenty

question was it smoking out the blow by tube when it was running if it was has the yellow temp light been coming on if yes spray a little starting fluid and see if it will start if it does you probley need rings when the yellow light comes on its because its over heating and took the temper out of the rings and now has low compression

yanmar 1700 and down dont have thermostats they work like a perculator they make a waterpump conversion kit to fix the problem cost about 350.00 plus hoses if you are interested i'll give you the phone number to the place i buy parts

A lot tractor can be sold as new (generaly) with less than 20 hours this means it may have been used as a demonstrator or as a loaner while the owners tractor was being repaired! Doubtful that a dealer would put 9 hours on a tractor unless he used it at home!

I do question the 5 year warranty, to the best of my knowledge Kubota doesn't offer that option but a secondary may add to Kubotas Original warranty!!

I would go to another Kubota Dealer and price the same/like unit and that will answer your question as to price!

Ann most of this info is from studies done "last updated 05/25/99." While I am not disagreeing with anyone here what is not being considered in the posted opinions is many manufactures have either been sold or accquired by another and we simply can't say for certain if original specs have changed or not!!

The last info I was able to find mirrors the one "ed above and this is the updated version a-la 1999!!

If I understand your problem correctly, what you are describing is an internal "O" ring seepage which allows the pressure to remain equal on both sides of the cylinder, I.e. not displacing the rod in either direction , with cooler temperatures the fluid has a greater viscosity thereby slowing the internal bypass leak and allowing some postive displacement!
