Jim, I agree with you totally. If you are about to turn over turning downhill is probably your only option. But....if you are about to turn over you really are in a situation we all want to avoid if we can. I am saying turn up hill where you can as a matter of routine. You just get into more trouble when you are going down hill. When I am bushhoging, I try to mow the bad areas going up hill and save the smooth areas for going downhill.

Each of you need to refer to your local dealers and have a new battery with single screw in caps verses the gang caps. This will prevent the effects of the battery gassing.

Having a 4300, Deere offers two backhoe options (47/48) that are some what sub-frame mounted. Both of which can be removed in less than five minutes to allow use of the 3pt. It may cost a little more but as the saying goes you get what you pay for.

With the 4300 CUT you'll have two Deere backhoe options: 47/48 both will require the RCV to be non-functional while the hoe is operational or the spool caps and seals will be damaged. When the backhoe is removed the loop line will need to be connected to allow the flow to continue through the RCV thus the RCV will then function.
The third SCV option is a completely different set up. All 4200-4700 CUT's with dual SCV have an extra spool in that valve so when the third SCV kit is purchased all you get is the lines and controls. If a fourth and fifth valve is installed it will require the purchase of the PB kit to supply flow to that additional valve yet in that application the RCV will be able to function.
To the best of my experience with these products all the PB does is to gain access to flow between the SCV or the blank manifold for non-SCV units and the RCV. Thus all 4000 Series "42-47" can have PB. It is required that what ever may be powered from the PB be open centered. None of the 4000 series have a PB valve.

unless there are two different rhino brands, it would not be possible to compare rhino to king kutter. i have a rhino tw72 cutter. king kutter does not sell anything to compare with it that i have seen. also, it is my understanding that there is no universal standard for gearbox rating (hp). the manufacturer can label them what ever he wants.

jeff, i live in northern ky. we have the same rose problem. have found no real good, cheap answer to the flat tire problem. i have a hyd. top link which allows me to raise the mower up and lower in onto the rose bush. also works good on thorn trees we have in this area. they will destroy rear tires for a couple years after mowing untill the thorns soften up.

brushhogs will probably take more power that the finish mower. they will not do a good job cutting grass. the size you can handle will depend on what you are cutting. heavy grass will take more than thin weeds. small trees and brush will probably be harder on the cutter than the tractor.

NH STILL OFFERS THE A/Z PLANS TO FORD PEOPLE. I SUGGEST YOU PRICE THEM WITHOUT IT TO MAKE SURE. THAT IS A BIG REASON I BOUGHT A TC35D INSTEAD OF A 4300 OR A 4310. IT JUST HAD BETTER NUMBERS FOR $2,OOO LESS MONEY. GOOD LUCK.
