8th gear with a load is always a problem. I never tried that with mine but I will now. I have a similar tractor L4350 with a wet clutch (ever clutch) and the 4 spd tranny and the Hi-lo range. Great set-up. You may have a dry clutch but the hydraulic clutch would be the same. I frequently put the shuttle shift in neutral to shift gears especially when I go from 5th to 2nd. This is my favorite combo for loader work. 2nd for engaging the pile and 5th for transport. The L4150 is in the HP family just below what I have which is the low end of it's series and I would guess you have the high end of your series.

Funny you should mention Deere, they do the same thing w/H.P.
the 4120, 4320, 4520, and the 4720 all have the same engine displacement, 3pt lift capacity and hydraulic pump specs but the only difference is the software to up the H.P. Go figure!
Pretty expensive in my opinion. I will have to drive one of those Boomer 8N's and maybe I will switch from Kubota. Not too fond of the loader and that may be a deal breaker for me.

I ultimately found different rims (12") and some Carlisle trencher tires that matched up to the static loaded radius. I gained 4" in track and that much again in flotation AND the offset on the rim perfectly matches the machine. Did not feel comfortable with the reversed r4's although I did feel the stability increase.

You can if you can find the right combo. You need to look at the static loaded radius of what you have and match it up. I did this on a Kubota.

glad we are back to static loaded radius vs. tracks! this is where the rubber meets the road and what is required in Kubotas formulas. Can't disagree with you now Earthwrks!

I would be concerned about the size ratio from front to rear.
That has to be correct or you risk doing damage to tractor or premature wear on the tires. From the info you gave you are putting larger tires on the front with the same size rears. Look at the static loaded radius of what you have compared to what you want to put on.

I run R4's on my L4350. Had special rims made for the front so I could get a 12" wide tire. Fronts and rears are 10 ply.
I work in the woods and in the field. I wanted the toughness and puncture resistance. Had R4's on both front and rear of my B7800 but went with an R1 on the front as it was the only way I could get a wider tire and match the static loaded radius. Had to use 12" rims. A bonus is that they are 6 ply to the stock R4's being 4 ply. Happy with both set ups.

I will examine the 504 bucket to see how it compares to the 402 bucket in dimensions. This was by no way a slam on Kubota, I own two. Just bringing to light some differences I found. The cross brace brought a lot of negative commentary because of the difficulty in refueling, I do not have that problem. I like both my tractors and they both have their strengths. I won't discuss that here cause it would be a different thread!

supposedly all filters were changed prior to delivery. If it continues to happen I'll start digging, otherwise I will do my normal maintenance with special attention to inspection of all components. Thank you for your responses.

After reading your post I went and checked mine. It did not move so with the tractor running I disengaged/engaged the clutch, tried again w/no luck. Did that a few times and it finally moved. internal alignment maybe..
