I want to say thanks to all of those good people that replied to my post. These message boards are a geart help to all who read and reply to those asking for help or opinion. It looks like that ole boy was tryin to get off into my pocket. I'll be looking elsewhere for a tractor.
Some folks say that good people are hard to find these days. Well, all's I can say is I didn't have any trouble find-in some good ones.

I have a TC29D that does the same thing. I thought that it might be just the newness of the tractor. It has gotten a little better with use, but I still need to use the clutch and tap the pedal upon occasion.<br>b27

I purchased a TC29D ($14,061) with a WOODS 7200 finish mower ($1780)in the latter part of August. We are very happy with the unit, and would not hesitate to do it again.<br>b27

David,<br>You need to do the figures, just the same as you would with any loan comparison.<br>The value of such a loan, altho' a tax deduction, is in the effective loan rate. <br>That rate is based upon the your gross income, and the effect that the loan would have on offsetting the tax rate that you would pay. In the proper tax bracket, you could affect the loan rate by as much as 1.5%. Keep in mind that the rate declines as the the principle of the loan declines.<br>One other issue that may help you to determine your loan placement is the amount of faith that you have in your dealer (if purchasing new). You will carry considerably more leverage with that dealer in getting your tractor repaired, if the company carries your loan, at least during the warranty period.<br>The bottom line is that numerous factors could affect your borrowing decision, which include the amount of $ that you intend to borrow, loan rates, your relationship with your lending institution, with the dealer, tax position, etc.<br>I would suggest doing all of the figures, unless the lending rate is, as stated in a previous reply extremely low from the manufacturer.<br> Good Luck.<br>b27

Ouch is right. if your dealer is asking that much for an outer filter only, he is gouging the h--- out of you. My dealer quoted $36.90 for the outer filter, and $14.25 for the inner filter. E-Mail me I'll send you his address, if you want original equipment.<br>b27

I know its a long way from, but you might give Steve Hofelmann a call in Carlton Oregon. He regularly has low hour used 1070s. Right now he has 2, one with 300hrs the other with 330hrs. Both have loaders, and the one with 330hrs has a backhoe. He is asking $17500 & $22000 respectively. His phone # is 503-852-7961.

You may an internal leakage problem with your cylinders. If the piston seals<br>are leaking you will have enough volumn to activate the bucket dump when it is<br>empty, but with a load you would need more volumn to move the bucket, which you<br>will get when you increase the RPM. On the one that sticks about 3/4 through<br>the cycle you might want to see if you have a dent in your cylinder at about<br>that point that could be causing a bind, or distort the seal enouigh to cause it<br>to leak.
