Does anyone have experiance with the Encore brand mowers? They are made in Nebraska. I am considering buing a Prowler 61" series. Are they a good dependable machine ?

Have you turned the rims around? If they are set at narrow width you can reverse them and add 6-8" to the foot print. The procedure is explained in your manual.

I agree 100 percent with what Harvey stated above and the majority of the posts here, well done GW! There are not to many leaders today that show that kind of support to the troops, we do, however, have a whole bunch of critics that I would love to put on a plane and sling shot there butts off this land.

Peters; good point on the old dried seasoned beams. If I tackle the project, I believe I will use new semi-green beams that are readily available, she will just have to live with it. As far as the challenge goes, I am up for it! Keeps me from getting stagnant. I have located plans through a Timber frame company that builds homes and barns, however, you never find what you have in mind so I think I will have a Architect do custom plans. Thank you for your comments.

I have a JD 650 which is a Yanmar. Manual states half throttle for summer, full throttle for winter. Return throttle to 1500 rpm after starting and allow to warm up for approx. 5 min.

Something that may help with the flow is to close the hydraulic stop valve under the seat and just crack it open while you let the machine warm up. The restriction heats the fluid, just make sure you open it prior to heading out.
I am assuming the 950 has this valve like my 750. This is John deeres recommendation right out of the manual.

I have a JD 650 and had/have the same problem, my investigations lead me to believe that the JD model 359 is the front mount blower for this unit. Do not purchase the 47" model that is compatable with the 400, it will not work. I learned this the hard way ( $$$$$ )the Yanmar engines run counter clockwise and your standard gas engines like in the 400 run clockwise, the front pto runs the same direction and the engine. Dummy me, I went though all the work to custom mount the 47" two stage to the front of my 650 only to learn it operated the wrong direction. If anyone knows something different please post.
