i thought they were shipped dry too. but my local dealer said they come with the fluids in them, (except the front axle) they are test run in japan and the fluids are left in.

Art is this true?

i got a L3830hst to replace a mf135. could not be happier. after running it (about 100 hrs) i have found a l3130 would have done a real fine job. if really wanting a b sieres look at the B7800 a lot heavier than the 7610. if plowing and disking etc with equipment used on the 2000 i'd not even look at the b's. i love my hydro and would not think of going back to gear, however the l3400dt can be had for arrond 11,500 plus loader. the l3130hst is about 13,600 plus loader, had a b7800hst priced at 11,900 plus loader, thes were all priced with R-4 tires, R-1 (ags) would be cheaper.

maybe you and petushead should trade tractors. he hate his dads kubota. they all have problems sometimes, those gaskets were probally bought from an outside supplier that is now outsoursing to china. that's what warrenties are for,their mistakes.

i am a kubota owner and lover! i feel the l's are built heaver than anyone elses in the same range.. but in the small tractors, have you looked at the new holland tz18 and 24? i think they look a lot beefer than any others. was with a buddy when he was looking, they priced a tz24 hydrostat with the suppersteer and auto 4x4 and 60 inch deck for 10700, a lot more for a lot less than anyone else.

Corriher has a sister company that is a Kubota dealer. i bought mine from them in early march. they are a dream to deal with. all dealing were done over the phone, they did not know me from jack.they spent several dollars on long distant calls to deal with a customer that they really had no idea could or would ever buy this thing. they delivered 75 miles to my house and picked up a check. when it left the dealer they still had no proof i was a real buyer. tractor arrived one hour before i really expected it nnot late. these two dealerships are owned by the same people and i have a hard time believing run so differant. the Kubota dealer is also a JD and bobcat dealer. I WILL BUY FROM CORRIHER AGAIN, VERY PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH.

i'm booked for the first week in August next year. i like then best. the skitters are not bad at all in late summer. in early june you can catch a hundred a day in the river easy but there smaller and the sketters are BAD BAD BAD. the kag lake also has lake trout and northern pike, a 52 inche pike has been taken from this lake. if you ever do go north take a portable depth finder, it will help you catch many more fish by finding the drop offs underwater. check out their website for plenty of photos and info.

sounds like it's time for a clutch. wouldn't hurt to check the suction filter, it's up in a tube off the side of the pump with three bolts holding the cap on from the bottom. i think it's just a screen and be cleaned.

look hard at the b7800 it's 30 hp and not much more or the 2710/2910 at 27 and 30 hp with more features like my favorite the TELESCOPIC LOWER-LINK END makes it much easyer to hook up equipment. these tractors also have three ranges instead of two.

hold down both buttons on dash at same time, will clear in a few seconds. owners manual explains this.

if going used i'd look for a 245 massey ferguson, they are one of the best tractors ever built. if new for 40 acres i would not buy a cut. look at (these guys won't believe i said this) John Deere 5102 they sell for about 12,000 and are well built machines, i just about bought one before i bought my Kubota L3830HST, they were just too big for my usage. i would look in the 45-65 hp range in whatever i bought.stay away from a 235 massey they have bad steering problems, all others including the 135 are great, i heve owned two of them. there are three MUSTS 1.diesel 2.power steering 3.live pto.

i got five that says he has it. somebody had to buy them, why not him. not everyone in the south is poor and few are lairs. 5 of the top 95 marketing areas in the nation are in tennessee. i know several dirt farmers that are multimillionairs to look at them you'd probally buy them lunch thinking they are broke.

Lets think this thing over. I will use Kubota L30 series only because i can't find any other specs to really compare.<br>

1. Pto hp is rated at engine peak speed of 2700 rpm not at 540 rpm pto. Kubota hst pto is at 2640 rpm, gear is 2550 rpm. looking at engine torque/hp charts it appears that the pto hp at 540 rpm is the same with both tractors.<br>

2. Pto ratings are with the tractor parked. Not many of us run a sawmill or hammermill anymore. So the actual hp at the pto is "engine hp - hp used to move tractor =pto hp"<br>
2A. Using this factor then a tractor with tires not loaded will have more pto power than one with them filled. How much hp requied to move 1000 LBS of fluid?<br>
2A1. Two ways to gain pto hp, diet, and never fill the fuel tank over 25% eather way you reduce hp required to move the tractor.<br>
Taking this into account is a hydro really sacraficing hp? By varing your speed ever so slightly to maintain pto speed under load, your increasing hp going to the pto.<br>

I bought a L3830Hst thinking i was lossing pto hp from the 135 Massey I had, 37hp at 2250 rpm pto geared for 540 at 1740rpm for massey, Kubota 30.5hp at 2700 rpm geared for 540 at 2640. Can't find charts for the Massey but i'm sure hp at 540 is less than the Kubota. These old tractors also had a belt speed mark on tach at max rpm and is where pto was rated for use as a stationary power unit. The 3430 is probally a closer match to the 135 Massey, so i really got a bigger tractor, just don't look at the specs read the charts. <br>

i say a listing once for a rotary cutter that used a small (12 inch or so) rubber tire turned by the pto shaft on a steel plate insteed of a gearbox. i have not been ablwe to find any info on these, don't remember the brand. looks like they would transmit a lot less shock through the pto to the tractor, anyone know were to find these?

yes. it is a geared transmission. see page 36 of your manual. dealer should have gone over this.
