just spent 10 days fishing. fish were a little slow this year due to all the bad weather up there, but had a really good time. I flew out of Nakina with Leuenbergers for the fith yaer, these are real good outfitters that will not hold you up. I have fished both Whitefish and Kag, keep going back to Kag just for the few extras, i go on the housekeeping plan but have seen the food fed on the AAmerician plan and it looks real good.Walleye on this lake were averaging over 20 inches this year with 24 inchers not uncommon, my 15 year old son caught one 27.

Man! that sounds like fun......what other kind of fish did you catch? What is the best time of year to go? I really want to go to Canada fishing like that, have been dreaming of it my whole life. ....

i'm booked for the first week in August next year. i like then best. the skitters are not bad at all in late summer. in early june you can catch a hundred a day in the river easy but there smaller and the sketters are BAD BAD BAD. the kag lake also has lake trout and northern pike, a 52 inche pike has been taken from this lake. if you ever do go north take a portable depth finder, it will help you catch many more fish by finding the drop offs underwater. check out their website for plenty of photos and info. ....

I'm leaving for God's Lake Manitoba tomorrow through the weekend. I was on the same trip two years ago and you basically get worn out bringing in Northern pike all day. Walleyes are plentiful too.
