The BX2200 and B7500 are very similar machines. The 7500 has a bigger frame and a fair bit more power in the hydraulic system (5.5 vs 7 gpm). The BX2200 has a small advantage in horse power delivered to the PTO. The 7500 is a bit more tippy on slopes, but not much more - it's taller and bigger wheelbase. If ground clearance is an issue the 7500 is a clear winner.

I've got 5 acres and 2.25 to mow and love my BX2200. The 4WD and R4s work well with heavy loads and don't bother the lawn if the ground is reasonably dry. Get the FEL - you won't regret it. The FEL works well enough on snow for my short 130ft driveway, but you'd be better of w/ an articulated blade or thrower for more plowing.

Either one is expensive, but the deisel engine and basic tractor should last a lifetime on a 5 acre playpen - and certainly outlast and outperform a series of garden tractors. BTW a 22HP diesel will have a lot more useful torque when it counts than a 22HP gas engine - no comparison w/ a garden tractor.

Anyone familiar with the White 2055 tractor? I'm looking for a tractor for removing snow from a 1/4 mile gravel drive and cutting grass on about 1 acre, maybe pulling a wagon of kids around the woods.Thanks,<br>Steve

When I refer to stalling while using the FEL it is during the "cutting" of 2-3" of clay off the surface to level the ground. The bucket fills and the tires start to spin as I am "slicing" the top layer of clay off then the engine wants to stall as it is being loaded down. The stalling during scooping the pallet boards is when I lift boards up from the bottom of the 12' tall pile. The boards are all intertwined with each other, in fact my old 955 did not have enough power to even lift up the FEL after I dug the bucket into the bottom of the pile.

If this sounds like a problem I will take it back to the dealer for warranty work.

Thanks for replying. Here is the whole story. Tractor came with a backhoe attachment- my dad bought new from Honda in 1991. Hydralics and PTO are on tractor and work but Honda said 3 pt. stuff came as a kit that is no longer available. They are "looking" for one at a dealer somewhere.....lost on a shelf. All I need are some dimensions and I can get parts from TSC or Farm and Fleet or something. Only a few Dealers sold the bigger diesel Hondas and I'm not sure how many are out there. Hopefully somebody will reply with measurements. THANKS STEVE

I used Gannon cylinders for my toplink and sidelink on my 4700. They come completely assembled and fit perfectly. You just have to make up the correct length hoses.

I see this is an old message and you may have already found the answer. But yes, you can get a used 54" Deere blade with hydraulics that was used on several older Deere models (400, etc) an buy an $80 bracket that fits on your 430 to attach the blade. The hydraulics than plug right in for raise/lower and angle.

I have used a 1950 Case DC with AG rears w/liquid (15.5 X 38) to clear snow for years using a 7' rear blade. Never had a problem till I ran into the Ice storm a few years ago. Bought a used set of chains and found that due to the spacing of the cross links, half the links would drop between the lugs. Solved the problem by re-spacing the cross links and increasing their number (had to buy some extra chain and connectors). Now - like the previous post - I can go up a tree without a second thought. IMO yes! they make a huge difference! GOOD LUCK!

Need info of diesel + ether. My book says don't do it. (I haven't) But I have seen neighbor who farms with White and MF diesels routinly use starting fluid (ether) in cold weather. Wouldn't that cream the pistons/cyl head?????? I had a problem in real cold temps starting the B7300. Typically use a heat lamp now. Anybody know if a block heater is available??

I had the axle replacement done on my 4300 4x4 about two months ago. I approached the dealer first about the replacement. He didn't have any problems with the replacement. He indicated that I needed to contact the JD Customer Service folks and log a complaint about how my tractor was tearing up the turf (he gave me the phone #). After logging my complaint, the Customer Service people contacted my dealer about the problem. It was only after the conversation between my dealer and the Customer Service person that my dealer could order the replacement axle kit. It took a few weeks for the kit to show up. It only took the dealer one day to fix it. The new axle is great! NO turf tear, no black marks on the driveway, and the wear on the outside of my front tires has almost completely stopped. I only had 50 hours on my tractor when I got the axle replaced, but my front tires looked like they had 250 hours on them! Good luck! Steve

I looked at both the Kubota 3010 HST and the JD 4300 HST. I found that both appeared to be well constructed, but there were a couple of things that caused me to lean toward and ultimately buy the 4300. First, I didn't like needing to use a clutch to engage the PTO. The JD has only a lever for engaging the PTO. I found the loader much easier to detatch/attach on the JD. Finally, I couldn't figure out how I would use the turn brakes on the Kubota. Both the turn brakes and the HST pedal are on the SAME size. Deere has theirs on opposite sides so the user can push the HST pedal with one foot and activate the turning brakes with the other foot. From a longevity perspective, I'm guessing both will last forever if taken care of. Good luck. Steve

While I was away my JD dealer was able to locate a used 54" front blade for me. Using it over the weekend I noticed that they hydraulic angle would tend to drift a few degrees as I was pushing some loose dirt around. When I lifted the blade and tried to push it by hand, I also noticed that (say) if the blade was at 20 degrees to the right, I could push it back (compressing the piston) to about 15 degrees before the hydraulics prevented me from moving it farther. The same is true when the blade is angled to the left (extending the piston). Occassionally when back grading the blade seemed to drift even more that 5 degrees or so from where I had set it before I angled it back into place.

Does any of this sound like normal functioning for this type of blade? If not, what could be the problem??

I am in the market for a compact tractor. I am looking between the jd4400 and tc35.<br>want 4wd,loader,Industrial tirs,shuttle shift,brush hog,pull behind finish mower. Will use in pasture,woods and mowing. Has to be good on lawn and in wet fields.<br>I would be interested in any comments about these units, there hasn't been much said about the tc35.<br>Here is a stupid one, whats the difference between MFWD and 4wd, is one better?<br>Any comments about the new 16LA New Holland loader?

I am trying to get the front axle on my JD4300 replaced. The dealer tells me that there is a huge backlog on the new axle kit and could not give me a date for replacement. He said I was on the waiting list. Anyone else hear this?
