Tom: I had a Backdoor virus (trojan type), dialed out at around 2:30am. I got up disconnected and it did it again 30 min later. Turned the modem off. You may of had it for awhile. I got Norton Internet Security everyday had a hit. There are also sites that tag you from cookies you have that are not real viruses, but they try to get in protected ports (I think a couple thousand ports on Windows). If you have a cable connections a Firewall is a REAL good idea. Use a Dsl/cable hub with dhcp. The hacks will not know what IP address your PC is using. I assigned randomly to the PC. Thats as good as it gets, unless you want to monitor your ports with some router software....
Your can get the bug from e-mail, File sharing like Napster, Morphus, Limewire, etc. If you surf they will come.

I purchased a 4110 with fel/61" material bucket. It paid for its self last weekend with 28 inches of snow. (normal snow fall is aroud 6 inches yearly) Man or Man I love it. have 24 hours on it and counting. Not one bit of trouble. Bucket goes on and off in 3 minutes just like JD says. Have a front plow but could not move the snow any further to the sides. SO the big guns came out. Cleaned 5 other neighbors lanes out also. Done my good deeds for awhile. Only cut grass twice before Winter. It did great on grass. Dug out a base for a Greenhouse 14X9, 6 inches deep. Like butter. Highly recomend thsi model. Great turning, moving, close quarters, etc. The 4115 is a little longer with a couple more HP. I did not think it important for the $$. Good luck

Here is some help with the E-mail boosters. Go to www.hotmail.com Set up a servie e-mail acount (bogus name, address, hair color, etc.) Check it every 120 days to keep it active. Its free. Use it for any survey, forms, crap e0mail memership entry point on web pages, etc. Use your real (Keep it clean) regular e-mail for your known e-mailer fan club. I work with computers. I Use the bogus one more than my protected one. This will help with the spammers, junk mail, IRS, lawsuits, what ever. Hope you find this usefull

ANY OF YOU GUYS KNOW THE NAME/PART# OF THE ACCESSORY THAT SUPPENDS THE MOWER TO A FLOAT POSTION FOR A MMM 60 ON A JD 4110. THE WEB SITE SEEMS TO BE DOWN AND I CANNOT FIND THE NAME TO RESEARCH A PRICE.
I CAME UP WITH THE 7/16 BOLT CHAIN LINK AND DRILLED PIN ASSEMBLY BUT IT HAS LIMITED ADJUSTMENT CAPABILITY. (UP OR DOWN) THANKS IN ADVANCE

I always changed oil just after the recommend break in. I never used synthenic products but you guys convenienced me for long term stability and durability its the best.
Please answer a few questions. For my JD 4110.

1.Getting all the old oil out and then mixing new syntheic is it ok for the these two different items to mix?

2.Amsoil brand appear to be the best so I purchased all Syntheic fluids for the change at 50 hrs. Oil, Hydro, MFWD gear oil, grease, filter, etc. Do you Master JD owners see any problem with the conversion?

3.What about a hydrotransmission filter other than JD?

4.MFWD on a JD 4110 I have not seen recommended Gear oil so I got Amsoil 80-90 Syntheic. Is it OK to change?

Reading the BBS I noticed a lot of old timer lean towards synthenic oil. I never trusted the low bid oil used in new Mfg of cars and trucks. I always changed oil just after the recommend break in. ME AND TWO OTHERS KEEP 1100 DELL DESKTOP COMPUTERS RUNNING EACH DAY. I ALSO SPEC OUT THE NEW ONES FOR PURCHASE EVERY 6 TO 9 MONTHS (DEPENDIING ON BUDGET)YOU CALL DELL AND THEY RESPOND. NEXT DAY WITH THE PART. LIMITS DOWNTIME FOR US COMPUTER SPECIALIST TO A MINIMUM. TYR CALLING COMPAQ, AFTER THE SALE THEY MOVE AND DISCONNECT THE PHONES....I WOULD GO BACK TO PAPER AND PENCIL BEFORE A COMPAQ. GATEWAY USED TO BE A GOOD COMPUTER, THEY STARTED LOW BIDING ON PARTS. HARD TO KEEP THEM RUNNING OR CONFIGURED.
MOST OF THE COMPUTER PROBLEMS I RUN INTO IS NOT THE HARDARE ITS THE HARDHEADS. THE SOFTWARE IS USUALY AT FAULT.
MOST OF THE PROBLEMS IN THIS BBS SOUNDS LIKE THE IRQ'S ARE BEING USED BY THE SAME DEVICE. 95, 98, 982ND WAS GREAT FOR THAT. XP SOLVED THE PROBLEM IT WILL SHARE. BUT SINCE USB NO NEED TO WORRY. DAISY CHAIN THE DEVICES. OH YEAH IF YOU DONT REMORMAT AND RELOAD AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR YOUR GOING TO HAVE PROBLEMS. WIDOWS IS TERRIBLE AT HOUSE CLEANING THE OLD FILES. DLL FILES HAVE A PECKING ORDER IF THEY ARE OUT OF SINK.....WELL WINDOWS GOES BELLY UP AND TAKES ON WATER.
RUN EM HOT, KEEP EM CLEAN, LEAN AND BACK EM UP. I WILL TAKE A CORRUPTED HARD DRIVE OVER A FINIKY CARB ANY DAY.

i HAVE USED STABEL FOR YEARS. GUNK MAKES A CONDITIONER FOR DIESEL THAT HELPS KEEP THE DEPOSIT DOWN AND CLEAN. I HAVE NOT HEARD ANY BAD COMMENTS. THEY SEEM TO SELL A LOT AT TRACTOR SUPPLY STORE.
