thank you,, that gives me a rough idea, looks like that is up in canada,, so my guess is range would be $4000 to $6,000 US,, and since my brothers i dont think has attach,, that seems about right. he has a partner that has some attchments that aslo they want to sell so ill get more info on that,, but a fence post hole auger with 2 bits, pallet lifter-fork lift, and box scraper. Of course the most useful would be a front bucket loader. but ill focus on the tractor for the time being... thanks for the link,, much appreciated

I am looking at a backup mower for my place. Have found several B6100s and 7100s for sale. What would be the largest mid mount and/or 3 point mower either would handle? What is the horsepower ratings of these two models, I have seen everything from 12 to 19hp, which is correct?<br>

My 3ph is working fine. Does your bucket have any down force because mine don't.It was working perfectly earlier that day. Called my dealer and they suggested checking my quick connect couplers to see if one might be bad.Does anyone know where the pressure relief valve is located?

Why would a dealer have to make $3000. more than what another dealer is very happy to make on a tractor? If he said the price is X and you whip out your
check book and say ok, then you really can't complain however, if you read the
info on CBT or happen to call another dealer like I did and his price is thousands less. I rather buy from the local guy and told him that and the price
quoated, I even told him that I would be willing to pay him more just for being
close, maby a few hundred dollars. Can you imagine a dealer telling you that
if something happens you will have to wait because their customers come first?
That must mean that so many of these brand new tractors are broke that there is
a waiting line to have them fixed??? The tc45d will be my third compact, the first one I had for 3 years and the second for 7 years, never did either one have to go to the dealer for anything. Besides if you bring your tractor to a dealer to be fixed you are their customer even if you didn't buy from them, they get payed to fix it! Enough for now, thanks for the great info, even from the guy who is a dealer

Hi. I have a 4100HST with the optional rear hydraulic kit. I plan on using it for a log splitter - most are open center valve controlled. It is a very tidy installation with a short line to connect back when not in use. Good luck! Doug

I spent a solid year looking carefully at the 4100, TC21D and the B2410. I had owned a Deere 420 for 8 years and it never had anything go wrong! After we tried all three, the Deere seemed much more "together", solid, easy to use, great ergonomics. However, we did like the TC21D Boomer's sloping hood for visiblity out front. In the end, we went with the Deere due to a great Dealer, willingness to negotiate, although I sold the 420 on my own to get top dollar. The 4100 has about 40 hours on it now - runs flawlessly and the 410 loader is so easy to put on and take off. We opted for the rear 60" mower as I was sick of the hassle of removing/installing mid-mounts. Watch out, the Deere mower has multiple anti-scalp rollers, while other brands don't. All are good machines, but I guess I have green blood and every time I use it I just get more convinced of the correct decision. Good luck with yours!

One thing you might want to look at is how many complaints are on this board and others regarding JD and how many for Kubota. Kubota makes more compacts yet I don't see very many complaints. I lliked at this and decided on the 3010 HST with FEL and have been very happy with the tractor and the dealer. Good luck!

I also have the same situation but with approx 20 acres that I just bought last year. A farmer offered to plow and plant corn in these fields but said he would have to use herbicides and that just wasn't something that appealed to me. I bought a 6' disc harrow with 20 16" discs and am in the process of smoothing these fields now. I disc them several times to level the furrows and to break up hte clumps of vegetation and then I tried using my 7' rearblade facing backward but pulling it forward and that worked OK but someone mentioned the idea of dragging a utility pole behind the tractor. I did happen to have an old pole on my property so I attached large eye hooks at either end of the pole which is aabout 10' long and that seems to be working pretty good and alot faster.
I will be interested to see what other ideas people have. BTW, I am doing this with a Kubota L-3010 HST

I have Kubota 3010 and and have no trouble pulling a 6' 20 disc with 16" discs. It works great although I have only used on slight grades but I would think it would do well on hills as well. Good luck!

I am not certain if I have gone up grades as steep as what you are describing. My property has hills but more gradual. I just bought a 6' 20-disc disc harrow this past weekend and used this to till up 2 acres of pasture and the 3010 pulled this with no effort at all...even up a slight hill. In addition I have a 6' bush hog that I can use cutting almost anything although thick tall grass will slow you down some but it will go through brush and saplings like they weren't even there. In high gear going up hill is tough, but I hardly ever use high gear. In low gear I would think you could climb any hill you wanted but I do recall the manual saying somthing about going up and down steep hills with your front end pointing down so as not to tip over backwards...this maybe somthing you want to look into, but I think that is universal with any tractor.

I have a Kubota 3010 with a bush hog SQ-72 and have never broken a shear pin and I cut 12 acres of 2"- 2 1/2" brush about 8 months ago. I also have made trails through the woods and occasionally hit a big stump or rock (acidentally, of course) and have never hurt the mower or the shear pin. I would say that somthing is wrong with your set up and they should look at it for you. Good luck, Doug

Negotiating 4100 HST, 410 loader, 261 mower, rear weight box, bucket level indicator, rear hydraulic outlets. Anyone know if there are 4100 updates or changes to be aware of that would make the latest serial number important? Thanks!

Thanks Don. Negotiating with the Deere dealer, who has quoted the wheel kit for an additional $250. I saw the rollers, which seem better placed than Landpride's. Also, the Deere guys are pushing that they use 7 guage steel, the "heaviest in the industry". My old mower attachment was a Deere and it was a rock - just trying to make the right decision. Thanks for your advice! Doug

I have the opertunity to buy a JD 670. I have not seen this tractor. Can anybody tell me a little about it. Is it in the utility class, or garden tractor class? It is 19hp. How much is it worth. It has 250 hrs on it. it's about 8 years old.

Chris you are right your tractor has one cylinder to each front wheel with one pump , the problem is that the wheels are not tied together with a tie rod so they work indenpendly thus the outside wheel turns sharper then the inside the fix will be out to the dealers about feb. and will cost about 3 grand a unit so JDis only replacing the units whos owners are complaining
