So I 'm changing my oil , the tractor is a LB 1914 . On the hood cover it list oil amount at 4.3 Qts but the manual state the amount should be 3.6 qts. which one should I follow ? My dip stick looks like it was alter with a grinding wheel so it doesn't help me neither.

Well after getting the starter back in and charging the battery the tractor still did not start. So when all else fails read the manual. Starter safety switch ? one turn of the adjuster and ZOOM it started !!!! And started and started !!! So I pulled in the barn and started changing fluids .

So I got a chance to look at my tractor today, and after removing the plastic cover under the steering wheel so I could see the gas linkage I cleaned and lubed the joints I'm back in business .

I have a yard Hydrant that has no water coming out ,sometimes water does come out but usually no water can this be fixed without changing it out?

I'm fighting a loosing battle trying to remove the stump jump plate from my kingkutter brushhog.When and there do you use heat ? do they make a gear puller big enough to pull the plate? 22'' side to side.Someone must have faught this battle before me. please send back up and HELP!!!

auerbach, thanks for the words of wisdom.the simply solution are the hardest to see.so I drain the oil and put my 3.6qts in .so now I see the right reading on the stick.Funny thing is while doing this I find a sticker on the under side of the hood cover and it said the tractor should take 4.3qts. so I'm thinking??replacement parts from a different model??

I have a honeywell 2000i generator,when I put it away for the winter it worked. Today it started up but dose not produce electric .Any help ???

Thanks,for the infor.The problem was the bolt was missing from the battery cable.After installing a new bolt and charging the battery with a charger it been no problem.

New used 1914,my temp.gauge only works with the key in start location,not while tractor is running.Is this normal? Another question what is the right rpms to run the tractor at while preforming tasks?Sorry if these are silly question but its hard to teach a old dog new tricks.I being the old dog not the tractor.
