Ireguardless of how long you are going to keep your equipt. having the complete set of manuals is a god send. The Deere
publications are expensive but very comprehensive and will lead you out of any particular problem you may encounter. Plus if you sell you unit down the road to an individual it is a plus that shows the new buyer you have attempted to maintain your equipt.

I have very wooded property and use my tractor with the mid=mount mower. With the mower running in the ellivated position I can pile up the leave very succesfully into piles to burn or into windrows.....try that out.

I would be very careful with that soil you are talking about....if you plow you will bring up the clay and bury you top soil....I would work the property with a disk of course it is cost prhibitive but to plant that land a no=till drill would be the answer. But you sure don't want to bring that clay up to the surface,

If the three point is not welded to the mower you can replace one side of the three point which would allow the mower to run behind one tire...I have a JD 950 HC which is offset similiar to an old Cub....all of my implements must be offset and I have to reweld rhe three point.....the only thing you must be careful of is the alignment of your pto.

I agree with the last solution using a large off-set would be the best followed by a telephone pole or spring tooth harrow....however, are you sure we are not talking about teraces that the prior farmer put in????
