I am considering purchasing a JD 4200 but stumbled onto a New Holland TC25D with a really cool feature called "SuperSteer." Supposedly the TC25D out-performs the JD. As a JD fan, I am sceptical but willing to listen. HELP!I will use the machine to mow about 6 acres around nearly 75 trees. I will box-blade some, and eventually put a loader on it. I want Hydro., & 4x4. Please enlighten me. I have posted under the New Holland Prices section as well.Thanks--Matt

The 4200 is roughly the same, but the supersteer (IMHO) gives the NH the edge. The 4200s engine has to run at a little higher RPM, and the NH has a slightly higher displacement engine, but other than that they seem pretty much equal. (Well the NH does have .3 more PTO HP...)The NH should be a little less $ than the JD, at least it was when we bought ours about 4 months ago. We have a loader, tiller, and finish mower, and the tractor has handled everything we have asked of it.I wouldn't trade my 25D for anything, and I come from a totally green paint background. ....
