I just purchased a 8' rear blade for my Kubota L3600. I have been trying to level a patch of rough ground in order to expand my yard. I rototilled the sod and I have loose dirt, but I cannot figure out how to use this blade. Should I place it at an angle, straight, backdrag or what? I can move the dirt around but I still have these deep irrigation ditches.

I suspect that you are missing a couple of parts. The parts are called "end plates", and are used for moving bulk material from one place to another or for leveling work. The end plates bolt on with two bolts and usually a reinforcement rod. Thisis what the two vertical holes at the end of the blade are for. The plates - coupled with the blade's innate ability to angleand tilt - make a back blades into a really versatile tool. Without the end plates a blade is primarily good for cutting material on one side and spilling it off to the other side. Roger Loving ....
