I believe this was momentarily touched on before, but I never found the real answer. If you compare the NH TC25D and TC29D, it appears that everything is exactly the same, except horsepower. I was curious if this was completely true, so I asked a dealer. He said they are the same, but the 29 has the fuel turned up. Then I asked why, and more importantly, how?? No answer from him. If the only difference is increased fuel intake, I think I might like to try it....hmmmm....more power!!

It's standard practice by all tractor manufacturers to take an existing model, "tweak" the motor to get more HP (increase rpm, larger injectors, higher fuel pressure), change the model number, and charge a couple grand more for it. I actually had a NH dealer tell me that. It was his opinion that the extras you got for your extra $$ was NOT worth it. ....
