Whts the difference(besides horsepower) between these two tractors? Is the TC30 fwd with a fel capable of pulling a 5' brush hog with no problems? I have a few small hills but nothing major. Does the 33D have a ton of extras???

The TC30 is missing quite a few items. The seat won't swivel nor is it a smooth riding suspension seat. There is no cruise control, no folding ROPS, no supersteer, no conventional draw bar, no tilt and telescopic steering wheel no deluxe 3pt arms. It also has metal bodywork instead of plastic.
If you don't need the extras, it will do the same work as the 33. ....

I just went through the same shopping decision. I drove both and wanted supersteer. That alone is about $900. Plus I wanted the good seat because I spend alot of time in the seat mowing. I will be able to use the cruise control also. The price difference between the two was $1800. But remember, the 33d had SS. If you buy what you really want, you will soon forget what you paid for it. If you don't buy what you want, you will regret it every time you use it. ....

I have owned both, a TC30d & TC33d. Both with loaders and mower decks. If your land is level you probably do ok with the TC30. I work on very hilly ground and found the 3 extra hourses made a huge difference. ....

I agree with TREEMAN on all points. I'm a excavating/landscaping contractor and use my 33D with SS a lot. It not only pulls the 5' brush hog through 8' high weeds but over 2" trees--anything bigger and the shear pin gives out. It also pulls with ease a 6' grader box, 6' power rake, and 6' standard York-type rake. It will even pull a 6' Gill (a.k.a Woods) 3pt. "Super Duty Double-Roller Pulverizer" (which is for sale for $800 now that I have the power rake).
Having the two factory suitcase weights and the extreme-duty (AND heavy) factory grille guard (yep, the 35-Series guard does fit perfectly) on the front is essential with the power rake and brush hog. Even with the weights I can get the front tires off the ground momentarily when lifting either---or worse--when transporting down a bumpy gravel road in high range. ....
