I have a 4310 John Deere utiity tractor. I am getting an error code. It displays as 1 long 3 short. The tractor runs but when pressing forward or back pedals the tractor does not move.
Any ideas?

Duh! Missed the part about forward & rear pedal. According to my TM1895 :
Simultaneous command from Forward and Reverse,
I have had this happen on occasion during operations doing brush hogging in very tall weeds. The thick stems of the weeds can get jammed up in the pedal linkage. This can cause a simultaneous command forward and reverse which will throw this code and the tractor will not move. A quick inspection of the pedal linkages and removing plant debry got me going again.
