I have a John Deere 1070 with 1000 hours on it. When attempting to start the tractor, the red lights on the dash come on, then after waiting 20-30 seconds for it to warm up, I turn over the ignition key but I only hear a loud click, then the dash lights go out. I put a set of jumper cables on the battery (installed new last year) and the opposite ends of the battery cables spark well showing there is current in the battery, but the lights/flashers won't turn on either. Any ideas what could be causing the problem?

Disregard; I went over the tractor, electrical connections, battery and fluids. Didn't find anything wrong but after I put everything back together, it started right up. Don't know what I did, maybe a combination of things, but it's running fine now. ....

That is great news, hope the issue does not resurface and it was just one of the safety features that was just finicky for a moment. ....
