I just bought a used 2800 and was wondering if I should mow(5 foot belly mower) in the low or high pto range??? Also, If anyone could tell me where to order an operators manual for it I would appreciate it.Thank You

I think most implements are designed for a particular PTO speed and work best at that speed. At least with rotary cutters, it's a good idea to keep the blade speed up because they cut better and break fewer shear pins. The only finish mover I have is a riding mower. It makes a better finish if I run it in lower gear at full throttle, but then, maybe I should sharpen the blades. ....

Almost all mid & front-mounted equipment is designed to run at 1000rpm, and as was stated by Tom, the mower is most efficient at that speed. ....
