I have a kubota L245 that blew an oil plug located on the block behind the oil filter. After replacing the plug, oil now leaks at oil filter and oil filter mounting fixture. It appears the crankcase / oil system is being over pressurized. Symptoms are the same with fresh oil, new filter and oil fill cap off.
I have replaced the gasket and filter (2x). I installed a pressure gauge at the sending sending port. Pressure is running between 55 - 75 psi.
I have really torqued the mounting bolts, but do not know the setting.
I have seen several similar ( although older) threads but to help me.
Anyone have any idea's? Please help
Pete
PS - I tapped the plug hole using a 5/16 NF and installed a socket head screw.
PS - total hour is unknown
Optional Information:
Make: kubota
Model: L245DT

There is probably an oil pressure relief valve somewhere (maybe in or near the oil pump) and it sounds like that valve is stuck. 55 - 75 PSI sounds high to me, but I don't know for sure... ....

Thanks for responding. Unfortunately I was not more complete.
There are 2 spring loaded valves within the filter mounting block assembly. Both units were operational the last time I checked. The regulating valve has been changed with no improvement in the condition.
Although there are no abnormal sounds with the unit running, I am going to pull the valve cover and see if I am getting oil on top. I suspect I have a blocked passage somewhere. ....
