According to last year's THE BOOK (see below) that'd be a 1983 model (they started calling them 336-2 or -4 in 1984, to designate 2- or 4-wheel drive). Est. value of the tractor is $5980/$6440/$7150 in fair/good/premium condition. I'd estimate $2500-3000 on the value of the backhoe, but it depends a lot on the market. ....

Howard I have recently purchased a Yanmar YM336. I payed $6300 in Western Ma.which I was told was a very good (low) price. 320 hrs.,front loader and grading blade. The manual I received has it as a 1991 2WD. The 336D designates 4WD.
Guess it depends on where you live but a 4WD here would be around $9 to 10K at a dealer.

Every YM336 I've seen around here has been the 4wd model (YM336D) with the factory loader. They were made during the 1980s and Yanmar still supports that model with updated parts stocked in the US. Configured with 4wd, factory loader, good condition, and between 500 to 3000 hours, they bring about 10K to 12K locally. This was the best of the Yanmars - maybe still is. It is similar in size to the JD1050 (which Yanmar built) and with integral power steering and a special transmission(powershift) - but without the turbocharger of the JD1050.
