I am looking at an L3540 tractor. I was wondering what everyone thinks of the prices below.
I have a price of $23,300 for a 2009 L3540 HST with a LA514 loader with skidsteer attachment and industrial tires.
I also have a price of $21,500 for a brand new 2007 L3540 HST with the same loader and tires. This one has been on a lot since 2007 and will of course be treated by Kubota as a new tractor. Also, the transmission is the standard HST like a L3400 has, not the HST+ that is on 2009 models.
Any thoughts from anyone will be appreciated.

No idea of prices are fair or not but how long has the 2009 been on lot? If the 2007 hit later in year than the 2009 did to the lot the time there may not be much more than a year.
I would look carefully at the 2007 for signs of rust and such from sitting in the weather. Even seat weathering for they are will split and if it has wooden bottom rot (my two Kubota's neither this model has done both and both kept mostly undershed. Just realize the one that rotted for about 1 or 2 years did not live under shelter waiting for it to be built.
It is easy to say for the $1800 difference I would go with the 2007 until I think and then it is very easy to say only if the price difference would affect my ability of buying it or needed equipment. In one year from now you will either have a one year or three year old tractor. In twenty years those two years will make little difference.
No idea on transmission difference.
Am sure others will chime in. ....

They are the same transmissions just the controls are in different locations like the auto throttle. The savings are yours for the difference of the levers!
Some have found they wished they got the 724 loader over the 514 for he lisft capacities as well as the extra dumpa roll back angles that the compound linkage provides. ....
