Which one to get?
JD 5101E+563 loader for C$52K
or
NH TD5050+Stoll #8HDPM loader for C$49K
Both brand new, same 2 yr warranty, same 0% for 48 mths financing.
JD has wet clutch and power shuttle, and better ergonomics (I think).
NH has better pump (it has two) 26 GPM vs 22.5 GPM on JD and NH has 5000lb 3pt lift vs 3000lbs on JD
Which one would you buy and why?

I bought the JD as I had one to trade and they are a pretty reasonable dealership to work with. I don't know much about the NH but the 5101E Limited is somewhat lacking in the ergo department too. The 3ph and rear hydraulic levers are a little far back for comfort. (Read my complete 5101E review of a few weeks ago on this site.) I am otherwise quite happy with the JD after adding 2000# fluid. Undoubtedly NH makes a nice machine too but I'm just not familiar with them. The power shuttle and wet clutch are huge considerations, though, over the life of the tractor if the NH doesn't have them. ....

I looked for your review of the 5101E and couldn't find it.
I am considering buying either a 5093E or a 5095M. I was leaning more toward the M series because of the physical weight differnce (and of course more bells and whistles).
I was wondering how either model would handle a 9ft 3pt disc mower.

I bought 5083E, and I pull ~2000lb 3pt disc harrows, 4 bottom plows without any problems. 8ft snowblower cuts through 4 ft of snow like knife through butter.
It depends what you are going to use it for, but do you need the extra weight? E-series is already pretty heavy.
You can run round balers with it no problems.
BTW, buy JD over NH. It was the best decision I have ever made.

Thanks Peter_vii for the input.
My concern was for all the weight that hangs out on the side with the disc mower. My IH-544 (around 52 pto hp)specs show that it weighs around 6500lbs. I have one rear wheel weight and fluid in both rear tires and four 75lb front weights. I do ok on flat ground but I don't feel comfortable when mowing around my pond.
I would bet that my old 52 pto hp IH, as equiped, will out weigh a new "E" series Deere.
The "M" series is about 1000lbs heavier than the "E". That is why I am considering the "M".
