I have a JD2305 that recently when I went to turn on the lights (any - flashers, headlights) I heard a small "pop" and they do not work. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. Someone who owns a larger JD told me it was most likely a relay.
Anyone have any experiences with this?

When you say you checked the fuses...You mean the MAIN 40 amp fuse next to the starter, as well as 4 fuse block on the fire wall?
If they are all good...then follow the wires away from the battery and look for a bulge in one of the wires... ....

I did not check the fuse near the starter as the tractor starts and runs fine. I checked the fuse block (4 fuses, 3 are labeled for lights, 1 for glow plugs) all are fine. What is the "bulge" in the wires you are referring to?
Thanks! ....
