Yesterday after doing some yard work I parked my tractor on a level surface. A couple hours later when I returned I noticed a large amount of fluid under the tractor. The drip was coming from where the clutch housing attaches to the motor. I didn’t think there was hydraulic fluid in this area. The tractor is a JD 950.
I checked the hydraulics fluid level which seemed to be fine. I know the hydraulic fluid was overfilled once and the fluid was leak in this same place. But nothing became of it.
Any thoughts?

Did you check the engine oil? If you blow a rear seal on the engine you will get oil dripping in that location. ....

It could also be an input shaft seal. ....

Thank you for the quick reply. Peter the oil that is dripping is not engine oil. The oil is clear to slightly red and my engine oil is brown to blackish.
So if it is the input shaft seal, then I probably will have to split the tractor to get to that seal? If so I should consider replacing the clutch at the same time since I have the tractor split in half. ....
