Does anyone out there know whether a cover is available for the JD 4000 series tractors? Looking for one specifically for a JD 4300 w/430 loader. I currently have to store outdoors, but hope to have a new building by next winter. Thanks

There are so many tractor models and implement combinations I'd be surprised if ready made covers were available. You could go to a custom tarp maker.

Winter coming and no tractor shelter. Too late to put up a building. Faced the same thing myself. Ended up with a 24'x10'x8' wall tent for about $1200 Can (just enough clearance for the ROSP)

This type of shelter is common in artic areas. Down here in the tropics, the shelters are supplied with different fabric covers so the tents can be left up year around. The covers are snow, but not exactly rain proof. They last about seven years, unless the ozone layer thins out some more.

The tent is not exactly a building, but it was cheap and quick. There's enough room for tractor/loader & 3ph implement mounted. Enough space remains for work areas, back hoe, supplies and a few straw bales.

The cheap alternative, of course, is just leave it sitting out like many tractors do for their entire careers. But I figure the tent was a good idea. Sure is nice to be able to do maintenance inside and to know that I can heat the place if major disassembly is required. And, now I can collect implements for a few years and then see what size of machine shed I really need. ....

See www.covercraft.com. They will send you a diagram for spec'g a cover for a tractor, then quote the price thru a dealer. Yes, they are the same folks that make car covers in Evolution 3 fabric. We have one for ea of our cars, but keep our 1720 Ford (currently for sale) under an RV barn roof.

Search the www for the best prices on Covercraft at retail once you have the diagram. ....

Another option perhaps worth considering, a semi-permanent garage. I own a 24'X 22' and can vouch for it's sturdiness. They are fairly reasonably priced using a galvanized frame and fabric/plastic covers. They can be viewed at www.coveritshelters.com. ....
