The 3pt hydraulic pump on a B6200 D850LA engine has blown an inner seal and allowed the hydraulic oil to enter the crankcase. The diagram for the pump is simple enough but the problem is where to buy a repair kit. Anyone have an idea? Also the engine was running for a while with the hydraulic oil in the crankcase. What should be used to flush out the crankcase or should it just be drained and the oil filter changed ?

Just need to go to your Kubota dealer and order the seal. Get a new engine oil filter and oil for the engine and you should be fine. ....

Art, Thanks for the prompt reply. You read my mind. I contacted my dealer and it will take 4 days to get the parts and the parts depot is less than 50 miles away. There is NO kit, all parts are ordered individually and my dealer only stocks 1 "O" ring. What a way to do business. This simple pump has a "main shaft seal" which is a "weak link" in the system. In addition to that seal, there are 4 identical "O" rings for the 4 gear shaft ends, a cover "O" ring and a pressure port "O" ring. This pump is not complicated, but why Kubota did not make a repair kit for it is beyond common sense. ....

Interesting idea with the kit! I can think of any number of injection pumps amd hydraulic pumps that have the same problems and don't offer a kit. ....

Art,
Repaired pump w/all kubota parts.(A real pain to remove/install). Old seal(1)& "O" rings (6)were shot. Gears & shafts looked good, except main drive driven gear from engine had some wear on teeth. All parts fit good,no play. After 20+ hrs use, shaft seal seems to have failed. Lost hydro oil into crankcase again. Is it possible that pressure is too high? Is there a method to test pressure? Is there a pressure relief valve or adjustment for this? Your opinion? ....

IT is possible that the pressure would be to high but I doubt it. I would do a double take for a wear pattern on the shaft from the seal. I don't know how many of those tractors are in your area but the amount of repair call for those parts would demand stocking if they were common moving parts. Believe me it's a lot easier to see a smiling face as you hand over the parts then the disappointed look of someone having to wait for parts. ....
