I have a nearly new BX-23 that has a non-functioning hour meter. I checked the connections all secure but it won't budge past 15.8 hrs. Lucky I have kept tract of hrs per tank and I am just about finished with the third tank. Got 12 hrs on the first so I figure by the end of the 4th it will be ready for it's 50 hr. Having a slight problem with the dealer getting real excited about changing it out under warranty. I don't have a trailer to take it to the dealer 20 miles away so I am waiting on his good nature to stop by on the way to another repair. I would pull it out myself but it looks like the stearing wheel has to come off and then the instrument cluster. I can handle the mechanics but I hate to mess with it while its under warranty. Has anybody had the same trouble and fixed it themselves? I would get a bit peeved about it but I am having too damn much fun. Got a triple wammie of snow a few weeks ago and had a ball blasting thru the drifts that covered our yard and driveway. Ya just gotta love those little guys.

Here is one possible take on it:
Its under warranty, you paid for the warranty (indirectly). You said you hate to have to mess with it, so get the dealer to fix it. I would get his (or her) word that they will put this on the books and replace the unit when they are next in your area, and have them promise to get it done before June 13 (for example). Have fun, gosh look at that I totally lost track of time. ....
